I can't believe lamela is picked after the palace game. I'd love to be wrong but think he will be subbed at half time or sent off. Should be nowhere near the squad.

No agenda. But I feel we have better options. Stambouli looked brilliant in there weds and allows the others to do their stuff... Anyone that has been poor last 3 games I would be asking to be changed ! Why wouldn't you?

Because Mason and Bentaleb have the potential to be our CM partnership for years, they need to learn to play through bad spells, what better game to do that than Burnley at home? Id probably agree if it was an away game against one of the big teams. Playing Stambouli or Dembele might help win us the match today but i dont think its best for us in the long run.

Lamela and mason keep there place after average performances against Chelsea, palace and Swansea. Let's see if that bites us on the arse.

Who replaces Lamela? Lennon went back to dogshit against Chelsea. Everyone seems to hate on Townsend.

Do not understand the criticism of Mason whatsoever, he's been excellent for us this season.

We can only name x amount of players to play and on sub bench. Someone has to be left out

Plus we have 10 (possibly 11) games between now and the end of January, plenty of games there for most players to get a few chances.

I think he has to be very careful today. It seems that the refs society has a little black book and players can get nicked for offences in previous games. Harry can barely get a decision ATM.

Well my point is he really hasn't in the last three games. Sometimes it helps to take a player out if they are struggling.

You can apply the same to Lamela re having bundles of potential. The issue is he's a liability at the moment and offers nothing. Mason on the other hand initially done well but he's been very jaded recently. Resting him for a game or 2 and giving Stambouli or Dembele (both have showed major improvements recently) makes sense.

Why could mason be in our midfield for years and not stambouli ? How old is stambouli ?

I really hope Lamela make most of you eat your words. He Capoue, Lamela, Dier, weeks ago these players walked on water according to your views then they have "off" games and then they become shit in your eyes. I see the see the same trend with regard to Mason. He was the bee knees until, a couple of "off" games and suddenly the knives are out again. You supporters do know know what the fuck you want.

We have a good squad with varying skill and experience. We should begin to trust and support them as I dont think you appreciate what talent we have.

His problem is purely movement (he's playing too deep and not varying his width) and pace of play. Needs to snap off passes and shots way quicker. I don't think that kind of thing is going to get learnt by being dropped, I mean it needs to be taught on the training ground but he needs to learn it by application. Kinda annoyed with Poch for not sorting it out quicker though
