Trippier is a good right back, but they have even less pace than us! Early goal needed!

Shame Jutkiewicz isn't playing. The modern day Rasiak. Saying that he will probably come on and score the winner.

If Lamela shows discipline and tries going down the flanks-maybe today is the day he makes a name for himself in the League.

I'm not a big Mason fan TBH its cool the kid is getting his chance but just don't see it in the kid.

As bad as Soldado has been, he has still shown a hell of a lot more than Lamela. Against Burnley who I think will sit back I would rather have two up front.

Lamela and mason keep there place after average performances against Chelsea, palace and Swansea. Let's see if that bites us on the arse.

Mate, im not having a go but your agenda against Mason is becoming tiresome. We all know you dont rate him, there is no need to reiterate it in every post.

Great watching sky sports on a Saturday at 3 pm and not just having a passing interest in the proceedings .

#THFC Team: Lloris (c); Walker, Fazio, Vertonghen, Davies; Bentaleb, Mason; Lamela, Eriksen, Chadli; Kane #COYS

Subs: Vorm, Chiriches, Rose, Dembele, Stambouli, Townsend, Soldado #COYS

Almost as interesting is the list of players who do not make the squad :

Adebayor (may not be quite fit ?), Capoue and Kaboul - ITK put them at the centre of 'Kane'gate. Or because they have not been tryting hard enough ?

Lennon - hmm, Townsend selected over him on the bench

Naughton, Paulhino, Dier

Think those not in the squad are most likely to be the club's preferred 'outs' in January ? (except Dier of course)

I would've played Stambouli instead of Mason, but otherwise very happy with the team. I hope Lamela does well, I have much faith in that kid. He's gonna be great.

No agenda. But I feel we have better options. Stambouli looked brilliant in there weds and allows the others to do their stuff... Anyone that has been poor last 3 games I would be asking to be changed ! Why wouldn't you?

I'm really liking the look of Stambouli when he plays and would like to see him get a bit of a run in the league, will probably get his chance when Bentaleb goes to ACN in January.
