I'm probably wrong, but i suspect the sudden hiatus in transfers has something to do with forthcoming investment.
We seem to have so many false dawns with investments/takeovers that I'm resigned to being stuck as things are with enic.
Every time there's new news or info about it I file it under 'very unlikely'.

Vdv went from done to limbo as soon as these rumours about liberty started. Could be a coincidence but let’s be honest it’s very strange what happened with all itk saying done then silence.

VDV done? Only stuff I’ve seen is that we’re still in negotiations.

Someone on COYS mentioned the other day that the Atalanta Braves who they own, they ended up splitting the club from the real estate (presumably this means rest of its assets like Stadium etc.)

If they did that to us it would be a doomsday scenario. The club wouldn’t directly own our own stadium anymore (possibly training ground too etc) and this could kill the club long term as the sustainability comes from the fact our real estate/assets generate incredible value in terms of net worth and revenues for the club.

Honestly I’m absolutely petrified of Liberty taking over after reading that post about what they did with the Braves. Happy for someone to clarify further if I’ve misunderstood as I don’t have great knowledge on this subject. It may well be me misunderstanding and panicking.

Also Dragon mentioned they would raise loads of debt to buy us which is surely horrific news? Sounds like they’d be like the Glazers in that case?

Honestly from those 2 things they don’t sound like good owners for us to get and actually worse than ENIC. It’s worrying me quite a bit.

I just hope those with more knowledge of them can provide some comfort at some point which would alleviate my fears. Hopefully my panicking is silly and they’re actually good prospective owners.
That sounds terrifying.

Be just our luck to be sold to a group like this.

It was Dragon who initially used the D word and Trix had pretty much just confirmed that was/is the case, it's just Levy being Levy that has thrown a spanner in the works.

As per usual, Levy is the problem here.

I'm not too bothered if we get new owners or stick with ENIC, I just want Levy to get the fuck out now.

Nothing changes with him in the seat because he just can't help himself.

Again, you don't know that. This is just mental gymnastics, based on a couple of reactions. There is no context, you've just joined the dots to match up with whatever cognitive bias.

No player is done until a contract is signed. It's that simple.

Well of course it is to a certain degree because this is a Spurs discussion forum, so we're all here to discuss what's being said. And that's what's been said by the ITK's recently.

However, with Levy at the helm, I'd suggest that not only is there context, there's a hell of a lot of past history to lean on.

Also, I've got to say that I really hate these buzzwords that have been taking over the forum recently and used against anything and everyone.
"Mental gymnastics", "denial", "cognitive bias"...all such bollocks phrases that get regularly thrown around in here.
Really grinds my gears,

Really grinds my gears,

There is a lot of history, 23 years of it, good and bad. So which element of history are you leaning on, the one that suits your bias. You do have a bias, that's quite clear.

What really grinds my gears is how people want to push narratives when they really don't know.

This talk about Levy throwing a spanner in is just guesswork.

The fact is nothing was said, you and a few others have decided to push a narrative, based on assumption.
