Again, you don't know that. This is just mental gymnastics, based on a couple of reactions. There is no context, you've just joined the dots to match up with whatever cognitive bias.

No player is done until a contract is signed. It's that simple.

I would love to know how this is 'mental gymnastics'. Trix has pretty much stated it is the case, Herc has backed that up and we have years and years of experience of Levy doing exactly this. As others have said I just don't think he can help himself trying to squeeze out that extra win or extra bit of perceived value.

There is a very clear, well extablished pattern here so no gymnastics of any kind required.

What pattern is this? Please elaborate.

Trix posted this:

"Ok maybe I was a little ott last night so I'll try to clarify without saying too much and getting anyone in trouble.

The VdV deal isn't officially off, but we've managed to upset a few people at the last minute once again.

Get everything agreed, and then not be happy with the way the deal is shaped. Its once again trying to get that extra last minute win on a deal we have already got the win on. We've been here numerous times before and we know from past experience we are not worried to walk away for things like this and worse someone else swoops in or the player just has enough of the pissing about.

As I say maybe a bit ott last night, however I'm now fully aware things haven't changed which is why I posted what I did.
"

Tell me what has changed? The itk comes across as fear that someone will gazump us. How many times has that happened?

He is clearly saying things haven't changed in terms of how we (ie Levy) operate. Just in the context of what you have quoted if you infer anything else from it I think it's you that's doing some mental gymnastics.

It was Dragon who initially used the D word and Trix had pretty much just confirmed that was/is the case, it's just Levy being Levy that has thrown a spanner in the works.

As per usual, Levy is the problem here.

I'm not too bothered if we get new owners or stick with ENIC, I just want Levy to get the fuck out now.

Nothing changes with him in the seat because he just can't help himself.

Unfortunately what I think is happening, is Lewis selling his share with Levy keeping his and staying on with nothing changing in that regard. It is just a guess, but that is how it looks like it could line up, given the current leaks. Either that or nothing will come of it again.

It's us, nothing ever falls our way, so I am expecting this not to either.

How am I? I'm saying that I don't know. I'm not blaming levy, or admonishing him because I don't know.

The only people who truly know what is going on are the people in the metaphorical room.

Even the itks information is 2nd/3rd hand, so it is prone to interpretation.

I have made a couple of assumptions, but I can be wrong. Just like the people who say the deal is done, when no contract has been signed.

Fabrizio love him or hate him clearly has inside on this deal with his exclusives, if it was done he’d know, could it have been close before a change possibly, but I’d be pretty certain this was never ‘done’.
Remember to take itk with a pinch of salt.

An adult telling an adult to grow up cozc he’s spoke up against our dear leader this morning, how ironic
No, it's you're inability to understand that it isn't one or the other. You've made up a cult and then compared it one that murdered people. Jesus wept.

There is a lot of history, 23 years of it, good and bad. So which element of history are you leaning on, the one that suits your bias. You do have a bias, that's quite clear.

What really grinds my gears is how people want to push narratives when they really don't know.

This talk about Levy throwing a spanner in is just guesswork.

The fact is nothing was said, you and a few others have decided to push a narrative, based on assumption.
If you remembered, or knew my history on here, I very much don't have a "bias" or "narrative".
I've been very much a BSoDL until the Conte debacle but there's only so much one can put up with, or continue to defend when all the signs point to the negative aspects.
I'd consistently defended both ENIC and Levy until very recently but there comes a time when the scales must eventually fall.

If you still don't think that Levy is a massive hindrance in pushing this club forward on the footballing side, after all these years, then I'd possibly suggest that it's you that has the bias and narrative.

Or maybe we just have different opinions? *Shrug*

I think levy is too risk adverse, I think he means we'll but doesn't want to push the boat out.

However, I don't know if this is on levy. Neither do you.

One thing is that we do know is that ange has chosen to take 31 players to oz. He may have asked the board to wait until he has fully assessed the squad.

No one knows 🤷

Oh yeah, I completely agree and thought it was incredibly bold of D1 to use the term "done", especially because that's bitten so many people on the arse over the years here.

I also understand that Dragon himself has a certain agenda to a lot of what he posts but I just can't get a recurring pattern out of my mind...and that pattern is Levy shaped.

These extra wins or extra value that Levy strides for maybe the kind that allows the club to sell a player for a bit less or push us over the line with another player we might like to get in.

He got deserved praise for the Maddison deal where others would have been perfectly happy to pay £60m for to just get it over the line for a pre season tour in Australia.

£5m saved here and there could add up to a new player we wouldn't otherwise be able to afford.

I completely agree with this and it's completely understandable that Ange wants a proper look at the squad before making his final decision.

But at the same time, it's not hard to understand that we've been crying out for upgrades at CB for years, both Conte and Jose wanted that.

Ange may be great but he can't polish the turd that is our central defence, even if Levy will try to roll it in glitter to mask it's true form.

Again, I can understand why we are maybe taking our time but @Trix is also suggesting that Levy is the proverbial 'old dog' and we all know that mangy mutt.
