Just above average for me. Glad to see those going out on their way and think the loan and regular football will be good for Gil. None of the rest were making any impact anyway.
On the other hand we are putting a lot of faith in two new guys settling quickly and making an impact.
On the negative side we have gone another window without putting in place a Kane replacement should he get injured, no rwb and generally think one more signing was required.
Becomes a better than average window if we manage to get 4th place though.

5?

Glad we’ve got a fee for Dele and him off the wage bill. Is there concrete info on how much of the three outbound loanees’ ages we are paying?

Encouraged Levy has sanctioned the outgoings as opposed to clinging on expecting high bids that never come.

Hopeful the two Juve boys will do well, bring something different.

But for me no LCB, RWB and most importantly no new forward with presence to play with Kane or give him a rest is disappointing.

The damage done in the summer not replacing Vinny or Bale cost us in Europe, and we could pay a more serious price in coming up short in May, given United’s inconsistency.

The beginning of the summer window will be critical. Conte will insist on new signings taking part in his preseason from the get go. Levy and Para better be ready…

Got sent this by an Italian friend who said was on a Juve forum. Hopefully they are just bitter.

I don't post much these days, I find it easier on the nerves lol not the worst window but far from a good one. IF the 2 signings hit the ground running we have a chance of top 4, that's without any injuries. That's best case scenario. If they don't and we have a couple of injuries its a completely different picture. As for the outs, gil move 100% we need him playing. Great move. Dele deal good for everyone and I wish him the best. For gio and the other, I'm not convinced with these loans. I feel we are going to be back to square 1 come summer. Talking about needing to get rid of big wages. The winner this window is whoever does the books. 6 months savings. Not filled with confidence about the summer because cans have been kicked down the road. To wrap it up until we have a starting 11 plus a good bench and at that point we buy and sell we are what we have always been. The best of the rest. Its over to conte for now so let's see what he does with what I hope was his decisions.

Its a hard one. Window was OK. Might turn out to be a very good window if Ndombele and Gio play themselves into moves away from the club. Otherwise its a terrible window if they are back in 6 months with even less options then they had now. Its worrying that the main problem areas weren't addressed but we only have 19-24 games max. I think we can get by.

Then when you compare it to main our rivals its been a good window as we have added players that can hopefully contribute more to the squad than the ones we've let go. Whereas our main rivals arsenal and United are now weaker than they were.

So it's a wait and see. Was an OK window with the potential to be a good one. But if the juve cast offs prove why they were cast offs and in 6months we have to rubbish back and have finished 6th then it's a terrible one.

I'm in the good part, mainly because I agree with all the moves (ins and outs).

Firstly I wanted more than anything else was a holding midfielder who could pass the ball and who was an intelligent player, this is what we got (I hope). Definitely my number one target (for type of player).

Secondly outs, I agree with all the outs, with the possible exception of Gill, but I understand because we signed kuvuleski and he won't play much.

One point on outs, I am really glad we got rid of GLC, the last game we played I thought he put in a lazy performance and I really get the feeling that he doesn't care that much. I also don't remember too many games (against good opposition) that he has played well in.

Keeping Doherty and bergwijn, perhaps not popular, but also for me not recently bias. I am a fan of bergwijn and he has the ability to keep hold of the ball in attacking areas. Which Kane apart, our other attacking players don't do. Doherty deserves a run at rwb, probably still can be improved upon in the summer, but I would like him to get a chance at least in his preferred position.

As for kuvuleski and bentancur, these are young, hard working, first team players. I haven't seen them play much, but everything sounds right about them. They seem to be professionals, an attribute that cannot be attached to our outgoings this January. Also they are both flexible (can play multiple positions).

So yeah, I am reasonably happy with that. Not having to see Dele give the ball away consistently anymore or watching ndombele trudge off the pitch when we were losing (still pissed off about that) is a happy thought.

I know people want shiny, flair players, but it's really not what our team needs at all. We need graft and professionalism and we seem to be working towards that.

So yeah, I'm reasonably happy.

Torn between it being ok and good. Was a 6-7 out of 10 for me. I'll post my synopsis tomorrow about why something's did and didn't happen from my pov, and where we are looking to move forward.
Was no more than a 6 out of 10 If focussing on the immediate. Could be a good foundation for future improvements, but we have to see if they come to fruition

Voted 'good' simply because our average January transfer window means doing next-to-nothing. To accurately judge the window though; I think, we'd need to first see a.) how the new players do, and b.) how the summer window plays out.

But fair play to the club for finding some kind of solution for the 3 "lost boys", at least. I don't think we've ever been this ruthless on outgoings during the ENIC era.

I think it's a good window, verging on excellent, and that's before even considering the 2 new players.

Moving Ndom on (despite not perm) is a great feat and that alone makes this at least an average window.

You are talking about a 200k/wk, record-signing level of a flop. It's a cancer that will rot more and more, and the fact that we found someone willing to take a chance on him (no matter how small) given how badly he has done at this level over the last 3 years, no mean feat.

I rate GLC and Deli higher, but one was robbed by injury and the other by dis-interest, so moving them on is also a good thing.

And as everyone else has said, if we didn't shift the deadwood we would be even more tied-up come this summer, so its good that we've at least got less burden.

Wasn't the glamorous window some were hoping for, but I think it's the window we needed to have. Very different scenario but it still has shades of Poch's early clear-out of the stagnated squad he inherited, which turned out to be a huge positive.

Great window shifting the primary deadwood and strengthening with players more suited to Conte's structures.

I think we've set some good groundwork for a promising Summer window. If we can secure Top 4 between now and then I think we'll be in a really good position to attract those top tier players and fill those missing areas still to be addressed.

I thought we did the absolute minimum and I'm not sure if it'll be enough for top 4. Hopefully this doesn't turn into one of those "what if" windows.

Summer is going to be massive and we've left ourselves with a lot of work to do.

I see this window as (a) giving us a fighting chance of top 4 while (b) setting us up for the summer. We've done the second part much better than the first, but taken together it's a 'good' from me.

7.5/10 for me. Hopefully both RB and DK will settle down nicely with us. Personally, I think we have done really well with moving on GLC, Dele, TN as this means a lot to our next transfer window. No regret at all for us not be able to secured DV, AT and LD as to be honest we lost these battles against the likes of Juv, Barca and Pools. Now it’s just doing it right step by step with what we have until the end of season, secure top 4 then we can approach the summer transfer with confidence and better pulling power. I trust we have the man at the helm to make it happens.

Last but not least, thank you so much for all the admins and our beloved ITKs. What a fantastic community we have here! COYS

Its so laughable and pathetic that a lot of you believed all our woes would be fixed in this one January window. It is obvious that the players that Conte wants are not available in this window. For those calling out for RWB, JJetset has already said that Conte has already identified who is wants but he wont be available until the summer. Do want him to waste money and get a stop gap? I have enough faith in Emerson and Doherty to get us over the line to 4th place. Kane getting injured would be bad, but we have proved on countless occasions that we can still function without him. You need to have faith in our squad, I do.

As I see things, if it is just a question of clearing out players who should be in contention to start game in and game out , and who have proven, under Poch, Mourinho, Nuno and Conte not to be able to be counted upon, it is a success. Time will tell how much we get for Dele. Ndombele and Lo Celso can hopefully create a market for themselves. Point is, they are no longer a distraction to the rest of the squad.

Gil and Clark need to be playing. They have not been. Unlikely that will change. Loans will hopefully allow them more opportunity. I believe there is something special in Gil. He needs to be playing and competing.

A couple of the kids got loans too, which I believe to be in their best interests. If it were not for the travails of Kane's loans, he perhaps doesn't make it. Parrott is developing. Others will too. Not every player walks in as an 18 year old and sticks. In fact, very few.

And then there is what we brought in. Kulusevski and Bentancur. A couple of years back they were both on the rise. Lots of teams looking. Lots of potential and ability. Not easy to drop in to Juve and take someone else's place. They both sound up for the challenge and should be given time. That time will allow a few players in whom Conte has been showing faith (Bergwijn and Winks to name but two) to further add to the competition and options Conte has at his disposal.

For Conte (and hopefully Spurs fans) I have to believe life is better having options that interest him and that can change a game rather than seeing players in there who really offer nothing. Even worse is having to discuss them not playing, playing poorly etc before and after every game.

Yeah, would have loved Kessie, but that was never going to happen until the summer (if even then). Diaz was never coming. Dembele? Really. Lamenting not getting players we were never really in for is such a Spurs thing.

I believe we now have sufficient options to be in the thick of it for CL until the end of the year. Get CL and the options in the summer multiply. That's the goal. Win all 4 games in hand and we are 3rd. Still lots of football to be played. The job is in front of us. Let's get 'er done.

For me this window was all about laying the foundation for the summer.

We moved out 3 wage drains, and sent one out to a familiar league to get some game time. We brought in 2 new players, who, under the guidance of Conte and his team, should grow as players, and will become comfortable with their teammates and the PL by end of the season, which will have them ready, after a full preseason, for 22/23.

As has been mentioned by our esteemed ITK (thank you @Trix, @Hurcules, @ hotspur88, @ what lies below, and our resident whore, @Dovakiin, for all the info you've shared), this coming summer window is going to see a lot of top talent available, and it was critically important that we position ourselves, as a club, to be able to take full advantage of it. We won't get all the players we want because they may not want to come here, they may get a chance to join one of the elite teams, or their contract demands are not realistic. The thing is, we aren't entitled to to get the players we want just because we want them, we ain't shopping aisle 3 in the FIFA super market, we're building a winning team with quality players, quality coaches, and good old fashioned hard work. This was, for me, a good window, not spectacular, but definitely very solid.

6/10. can't think of a better winter window in the past 10 years tbh. would give 8/10 if we got a striker (e.g. weghorst/morata) and a RWB (can't think of any available though)

I think it's good. Though, maybe that's a 6/10 good.. Don't feel I know enough about bentacour, but if he is a starter over PEH, that'd make it a 7. Same if ND and GLC options get triggered (well, for ND, I'd take a lot less than his option, if we get that it'd be an 8!)

Not getting Diaz stings, esp with noises in us getting screwed over (dies feel mendes did us big time this window). I was also convincing myself on traore. Guess we'll never know. But good we didn't go all out in my view, converting him to a RWB made sense, but def not a cert..
And does feel that while getting backup for kane is still a weakness, having kane, son, bergs, moura and kulu isn't bad for 3 positions..
So
- shipped out some expensive non starters (save some cash, and, more importantly, hungry squad)
- hugo
- upside with 2 signings. If they are starters that's a pretty damn good window
- others in hunt for top 4 did naff all
- @Stoof and others rescued us from the nonsense the thread had turned into..

COYS

Only thing I cnat quite get, is barca.. Broke. So let's bring in auba and traore, with crazy levels of let's promise future riches. And torres. And fail to persuade Dembele off your books so you end up with I think 8 or 9 players for 3 positions.. All on what, 100k or up (deferred for auba and traore)? WTF...

Comparing what business we did compared to rivals is a bit irrelevant to me.

For example, Chelsea have an exceptional squad which doesn't need improvements at the moment, where as ours needs some major surgery.

That said a lot will depend on what happens between now and the summer and hopefully we look back and class this as a very important window in terms of creating space in the squad.

On the face of it I think it appears to be a good window and I think the two Juve lads will really strengthen us.

With that in mind and the Conte factor, I think we'll finish 4th and really see a 'Conte' team next season.
