How ya feeling? How do you think we did?

Was it a good transfer window, a poor one or just average. I've already seen there are some unhappy yokes about, surprise, surprise :D

Personally, I think the clearout has been long overdue so i've no complaints there. I've no idea who these Juventus players are so no real opinion on how they'll fit in but if Conte is happy then that'll do for now. I think the next transfer window is the important one, it'll tell us a lot about where we're heading as a club, so for me, this window has been prep for that.

We are never going to solve all our issues in one window, this is a start and we'll see how we go in the summer, that'll be huge for the club and tell us a lot about a number of pressing issues, mentioning no names of vertically challenged personalities.

So for me, it was an OK window, nothing amazing but we've certainly had a lot worse.

This isn't meant to replace the Post Mortem thread (that will come tomorrow), it's just an easy way to see what we all think by way of a vote.

Anyway, here we go, let bickering commence!

I thought it was okay.

Glad/amazed we're actually shifting players out.

I think the two we brought in are good additions, Traore would've made it a decent window but that wasn't to be.

The rebuild has begun, roll on the summer where we can let more go and bring in more new faces.

Very happy with Bentancur. I feel he can give us a bit of creativity in the centre of the park. Gutted to miss out on Diaz but hopefully Kulu can freshen up our attack a bit and link well with Kane and Son.

Obviously we need a RWB but hopefully Royal can adjust to the prem in the next couple of games.

Got rid of 3 good players in that centre of the park, a little bit gutted to see Ndombele & Lo Celso both flop but we got to trust what Conte sees

Tough to decide between average and good to vote for mostly because I'm going to judge it's success purely on whether we did enough to make top4. However I eventually landed on good because I think we did what we had set out to do which was back Conte and prepare the squad for a much more significant summer window. I believe we achieved that moreso with the outgoings than the incomings, I think it's fair to say we didn't do everything we hoped to achieve in the summer as evidenced by the Traore saga and even the Diaz deal but if we make top4 we'll be in a fantastic spot to shape the squad in a better manner having not filled up those spots/ spent that money. I'm looking forward to seeing the two new additions in action as prior to this season they had great reputations.

It was an ok window, but our average window recently has been poor so voted good...

Good start, still a bit short. I just hope the CM is a lot stronger now.

We've brought in a couple of players who can improve us now hopefully, but at the very least should be okay to go straight into the team. Watched a bit of Serie A last year, and while neither of these two lads stood out as extraordinary in team with Ronaldo, both always put in a shift on the pitch. Bentancur works hard in midfield, saw more of him coming on late to close out games while Kulu has something about him, creates chances and is not afraid to take players on.
A lot was said about Doherty being the first out the door, but saw a news story on my feed about him on holiday with Kane and Dier, so Conte must have told him he wanted to keep him and I'm still convinced he can do the RWB job.
All in all, a work in progress, but we have made progress in staring to clear the decks for the summer.

Average. Will be good if we get sales at the end of the Ndombele and Lo Celso loans.

It's an okay first step towards building a squad Conte likes, but there are still question marks about our recruitment as a whole.

On the one hand, we managed to get rid of the players Conte didn't trust (albeit all on loan or for fairly average fees). On the other, Paratici was once again forced to go back to his mates in Italy to do him a favour and, whilst Bentancur and Kulu could be solid signings, it doesn't exactly show huge levels of pre-planning or indeed creativity in the market from Paratici yet.

I was hoping we'd be employing a new more data-focussed scouting system when he was brought in, but thus far most of the signings have been opportunistic and based on previous relationships with clubs or agents.

Summer is massive so I sincerely hope we have our targets and are willing to go in for them nice and early.

Jury’s out between average to good. If we are in the same state struggling to find buyers to Ndombele & Gio in the summer it was poor. Needed an RWB &/or a striker. We signed a CM & a 4th winger.

Well, average for us would be 'no one' - and above average would be.. what: Bergwijn, or maybe Nelsen and Saha? lol

For me it was a great window incoming wise. Two players who will immediately challenge for a starting place and change the complexion of the team as a whole. We have added real quality.

Outgoing wise, meh. Loaning out Lo Celso and N'Dombele (aka our two record signings from 2019) and binning basically all of our attacking midfield depth in the process hurts. I always had this glimmer of hope in the back of my mind that Gio or Tanguy would really figure it out under Conte and become world beaters. To see us give up on them like this is disappointing.

I will still say good, but I am extremely disappointed with the Lo Celso/N'Dombele transfers. At this point it's inarguable; for the fees paid, they have been close to the worst two signings in Tottenham history (perhaps only Soldado was worse).

Torn between it being ok and good. Was a 6-7 out of 10 for me. I'll post my synopsis tomorrow about why something's did and didn't happen from my pov, and where we are looking to move forward.

Torn between average and good. Will only know at the end of the season.

The main thing is that the squad rebuild is finally (and fully) underway.

Happy with the signings but still think we're a bit short.

RWB - Lamptey/Baku/Maehle
CM - Kessie/Bissouma/Brozovic
FWD - David/Scamacca /De Ketelaere

Should be prioritised for the summer.

Just gotta hope we get lucky with injuries and that Conte can finesse top 4 somehow.

Good.. on the proviso the options for TN & GLC are taken up. Think the Juve guys will do well and probably beneficial they can help each other settle. Set up well for the summer after we get top 4

This window was all about getting 'rid' of those and putting int he shop window those we wont need and are nto in Contes plans. We improved the squad effectively by bringing 2 and losing nothing.

The summer is massive as others have said and hopefully that will be a window where we bring in that marquee signing which will just bring everything together.

And to be fair I think those will be along with Torres for LCB.

I think it was a good window with it being January. Other than being out foxed for Vlahovic & Diaz, there weren't a ton of deals I'd wished we had done.

Average. Where was the urgency, top 4 is there for the taking.

Agree. It will be interesting to see what Conte says when asked about the transfer window because from his comments over the last month he didn’t exactly pull any punches and complained about the quality of the squad compared to the other teams. I suspect he’s happy about the players who left but I can bet he’s not entirely satisfied about the amount of players coming in. We were told he wanted a wingback, centre back, central midfielder and a striker. He got the midfielder. Let’s see.

Good, not great. Cleared the deadwood, made 2 very smart signings, but we REALLY need cover for Kane in the form of an actual number 9 and we still just can't seem to get that over the line.
