That's him. He had lots of info a while ago about investment but like I can't said, not sure how reliable!

I used to follow him but I don't really think he worth it. Not sure the info he gets is good at all.

No they wouldn't, people always say this about players and they don't. If they sell Higuian they will use the cash to sign a plyer to improve the squad.

Well POTL is saying Modric is done so there could be something in the Higuain rumors if we've agreed a player exchange.

I know this is very optimistic, but JJ once claimed a class RM player was coming to Spurs, most likely as part of the Modric switch.
Nothing happened, but maybe it was Higuain he hinted to, but then the deal fell through and now its back on?

Would tie in very well with both Potl's latest info and JJ's earlier prediction.
Still seems a little unlikely, but after all the negativity the last week I could use some optimism(y)

what is your info? actually, they would be against it if past form is anything to go by.

heard the a story last week - back when fabregas was leaving arsenal Higuain was mooted as make-weight in signing him, or at least to be used to generate cash. A poll was run in Marca and 95% of madrid fans responded that they wanted to keep Higuain rather than sign Fabregas. 95%. remember at that time it meant one of the best midfield players in the world heading to barca.

They love Higuain.

And this is from reputable journalists - Brassel, Vickory, i heard both of them talk about this on the world football phone in - it's not just me making it up for effect on a forum. a key factor is that he is not one of the most technically gifted players but runs and runs and runs (and scores :)), defends from the front etc the classic things that make fans adopt certain players as cult icons.

he may want to go, don't think so, but he may.. and that's one thing. but it would be met with serious fan disquiet if he is lumped in as a add on in a deal for LM i'd imagine. Again, not that they'd not want LM, but they would want to know why not just buy modric outright.

I don't want to play Advocatus Diaboli but Higuain is not going to happen. He is currently in advanced contract extension talks and everyone is expecting him to stay for many more years.

Also there is no talk in Madrid Papers about signing a striker, and even if they may bei crazy most of the time (but who wouldn't when you have to sell papers out of hot air every day) they do have their fair share of reliable sources. By knowing this there is no way that Madrid will have just one proven striker in the next days. You can't imagine the rupture that would follow.

And were not even talking about the guys popularity there.

Seriously, Madrid fans only care about topping Barca. They could sell all of their favourites tomorrow and providing they win their first few games their fans would keep quiet. Higuain wouldn't be the first popular player they have let go, and he wouldn't be the last if he did move. Providing the Madrid fans see Madrid invest the money they would all stay quiet.

Agree, they were unhappy when VDV left, they moved on pretty quickly

that isn't my point

of course, they aren't all going to stop supporting the team if he's sold! but... people in power at these clubs are elected officials.. It's a balancing act, for sure. and yes, winning trumps hanging onto a hero. but there is no reason they can't do both here and there is plenty of reason to do both. This is the extent of my point. you can't just say Higuain will be thrown into the deal to make it happen. with Higuain it would never be that easy.

Anyway, whatever... certainly don't want to argue :) Just couldn't let your dismissive initial response go unchecked ;)

This is all fact and not opinion. I have met Joel personally. I was a guest of his at a game last season (Bolton at WHL, 3-0 win).
Joel was the official match day sponsor for the last game of the season last season against Fulham. His company also appears in every match day programmer.
He is friends with a few current players, friends and business associates (employer actually) of a few ex-players, and socialises within the inner circles of WHL. Friedel & Adebayor follow him on Twitter to give you some evidence of this.

He knows more than he posts on Twitter. If he is confident enough to put it on Twitter, then he is confident that the information he has is correct. He's adamant that its one particular group thats either finalised or at an advanced stage of finalising purchase of the club. Its a Takeover as far as he is concerned, not investment. And its not AEG.
We'll see once the window closes I suppose. But I believe that he believes what he is sayign is 100% right. And having met the man in person, that has more weight to me than any ITK on here.

I know it's Guillam Ballbag but is Song good enough for Barca?
He's never really caught my eye, not that I tend to watch 'them' much, and I've always been of the opinion that he was pretty shit!
I'd almost be tempted to say that move strengthens Arsenal!
That can't be right.
