I think the point I was making is neither Dele or Moura will fit that role and Neither of them have core passing skills.
I think my point is that the role really isnt about being a core passer. Unless a simple pass backwards to a midfielder is beyond them. The core is mobility. Get into the spaces, the rest sorts its self, because players are all moving into predefined coached positions.

I get that people are thinking this is “here and now” appointment and is not the project manager that many think would be their choice for our medium to long term.
Having said that - I totally
Understand appointing him.
The season is far from a write off and we have the chance to win something and go for the upper echelons of the PL whatever that may be. We heard in the summer that the infrastructure demands relative success here and now.
anyway let’s see if we can get this guy over the line.

I think Conte is the right fit in a few ways, put the frightners up a few bumholes that need it! Also, I will just be happy to see a manager with emotion again!

I do believe that a different manager can have us playing better, but there needs to be a dose of reality about it at the same time. We will struggle to return to the heights of the Poch era of the club in the near future. I sensed it at the time, but those years were a perfect storm of a manager doing an incredible job, and a whole core of players - Lloris, Toby, Vertonghen, Eriksen, Dembele, Son et al - who were all purchased for relatively low fees within our means and matured and reached their peak at the exact same time. Add the rise of Kane to that. It will be almost impossible to repeat this, with how stiff the competition and money is at the top end of table. It was why it was so so gutting that Poch never managed a trophy and that he and Levy allowed two windows to pass without investing in players to keep the squad improving, whilst our reputation was at an all time high.

Honestly, I see very little possibility of us being inside the top 4 for the next foreseeable while. Particularly, if Man Utd realise that their position is only being held by the quality of the squad and that they are vastly underperforming with Solksjaer.

A gloomy outlook perhaps, but it feels like reality to me unless we absolutely knock the next managerial hire out of the park, and Paratici plays an absolute blinder with player purchases over the next 3 windows . and that a full stadium somehow vastly increases our budgets going forward. Even then it might not be enough.
