That last tweet bit from JJ makes no sense. Deal is advanced but RM can't meet our valuation? If Madrid can't meet Levy's price and structure, he won't sell. Simple as that. Bale won't kick up a storm. Maybe Perez would since he's a schmuck. And Barnett probably would to since all he gives a shit about is getting the money from this deal. Levy hasn't given into their shit yet. No reason to believe he will now. Real Madrid not being able to meet our valuation renders any "advancement" of a deal meaningless.
To me, it means, RM are going back on the offer of world record. During this time, tabloid reports published the deal proposed by Perez was 78mPounds in a single payment, well below the previous said. While there was ITK b4 that we would accept a lower fee if it is in one payment or far higher fee if its in installment. The point of contention could be whats the magic number for a single payment structure.
I can see Perez using dirty tactics by leaking Bale shirt thing in their web followed by a low offer to make us succumb. After all this worked for Perez last window, when his website team added Modric profile in the team and then said it was technical error like they are saying now. We sold him low to them because he is kicking up big fuss.
May be Perez calculation is by taking the deal so far down the line, Bale may jhave been sold the dream and go kicking & screaming if Levy is not lowering the fee.
If this theory is true, I really dont know what Levy mindset is. Do we really have cash to survive without Bale money. We may have , but will Levy take the risk of pulling out of the deal ? NO IDEA.
