Seems to me Gibbo only considers info that comes out of the blue, months in advance that no-one else has stated that finally happens as being true ITK. Journo hung his hat on Lloris in May, it happened on deadline day - 4 months later.

Seems to me?? What has it even got to do with you? i was answering to chrissivad as i think he thought is was ITK bashing. And you couldnt be more wrong about how i perceive ITK. (y)

I love ITK, but cryptics are a pain in the arse.

I'm thinking Harlequin, Niall "Quin"n's sunderland have lost out on the battle between them and Newcastle, therefore it can only mean we're after Titus Bramble

I still have nightmares about Antony Gardner so please don't start :coffee:

The true story of Lloris is pretty well accepted to being a bit different to the theory that he was always coming.
IE: We asked, they quoted high, we left it and with days to go they came back to us.
Journalist got it right but not necessarily in the way he'd intended.
And that... in a nutshell, is why ITK is an inexact pseudo-science and even the best connected perosn in the world can get things wrong whilst the bloke in the pub will occasionally get something right..

I go to the pub quite a lot. Does that elevate me to JJ status?

Just a follow up to what I was told last week, this is in tomorrow's Mirror

"And one of Palace's first targets will be Tottenham's promising midfielder Jake Livermore who, at 23, is young, has good resale value and will be desperate for regular football after a frustrating time at the White Hart Lane club.

Palace have made enquiries about Livermore - who has already been called up by England - and the first task for Parish and Holloway is to strengthen a squad that's losing £15m winger and star man Wilfried Zaha to Manchester United."

The same source says we are very serious about Villa and Leandro is all agreed.

He also believes that this summer we won't be necessarily spending what we recoup

There will be a clear SPEND!!!

Happy to share now

All well and good having the desire to spend, it's the attritional way we do our business that's the problem

The Spurs ITK is going through it's annual end of season optimism phase.

We will soon hit the June "realism" stage, where the ITK becomes about much attainable, cheaper targets in case the May targets fall through. And then it's the August "panic" stage where everyone realises we won't get the May targets, before the final September "post mortem and look forward to January" phase when we get neither the May nor June targets, and instead make do with the August 31st targets and still don't have a striker.

It's just how our club works, and that's why I love it :D
