Interesting, I'm not convinced we can keep both BAE and Rose happy, and neither has completely proven themselves worthy of the starting job IMO. I wonder which one AVB is willing to bet on.

Why would Villa come here? apparently in spain its because AVB is very convincing during a meeting they had. We are at the same level as Thiago wants to play at and he could be guaranteed minutes here unlike at city and united. Also we are crying out for a player like him and if he wants to do a Cesc, he could go back from us whereas I cant see the other teams linked being too happy about him going back to barca.
I agree it doesnt we could sign and expect us not to but no harm in trying and in a perfect scenario that would be main perfect window

I would be stunned if we had a chance at him, lad's only 22 and played 36 games for Barca last season. He looks like he's nailed on to be a long-term first-teamer for them, he'd be mental to jump from one of the top 3 teams in the world to us for an extra 10 games per season.

It will certainly be a huge relief to finally get some closure on the Leandro saga, its been so long I'm not too sure how I'd react if we signed him! Here's hoping there nothing gets changed last minute and we will have a shiny new Brazillian forward.
