any player would want to play for Madrid, that doesn't automatically mean he wants to leave us

still plenty of time for him to move to the likes of Madrid in the future

You're a glass half full kinda guy. I can tell.
That I most certainly am, it sounds like all the reliable ITK suggest he wants this move, I think he is a great talent but not as hung up on him as some, we will move on as a club if it does happen

Firstly Bale.....

We are exactly in a Modric situation now with him! So he could stay now but my money is on him leaving!

As alluded to, Scotty P has gone and Capoooey is done and will be announced tomorrow I'd imagine.

Danny boy trying to sell everyone else!! (that is called exaggeration to all the posters that take everything so literally)

Thanks, value your input JJ, genuinely. But can't say that Bale info qualifies as "all good stuff" for me mucker.

Good stuff would have been either he's happy to stay and Madrid are cooling or we've struck a deal and we're getting Coentrau, Di Maria and 60-70m.

Bale's sulking and wants to go but Madrid aren't coming up with the goods and he will eventually go for less than we want this year or next (a la Modric) is my least "good stuff" scenario where he's concerned.

Wow I have to say I'm a big fan of good news JJ!

Cheers mate, the fact you bring both the good and bad news makes the positives that much better when they come along.

It's a pretty significant shift in stance and suggests its all in the air still. I'll certainly take that right now. For some reason my gut instinct has been Bale stays all summer. Just hope if he does stay he gets over the disappointment quickly. There's plenty of positives at WHL currently to be fair.

I'd be intrigued to know how JJ feels about the possibility of Bale staying as he seemed excited by the replacements (although obviously would not ask due to the rules on Q&As...)

Can't argue with you there. I'm not sure, unless he's completely convinced - 100% - he's not playing another game for THFC, he'll hand in a TR though. Might not be the best short-term move for his off the field business ventures.

But yeah, either way, we shall continue and the sky will not fall on our heads as some of our more nervous brethren feel. We lost the entirety of our team's spine last summer. 72 pts.

^ meant to quote EJWT's post

Joking aside, he'd improve Pool's midfield. Exactly the kind of leadership the Villa dressing room needs, imo. I'd think he'll have a fair few offers tbh.

I agree but Liverpool seem to predominantly buy young, and have experience in Gerrard in the middle and Lucas who has been there a good while now. Lambert I also thought bought young and Villa wouldn't like the wages. We would probably have heard from Journalist as well....

It is so embarrassing once the window shuts I wonder if the media will admit it was a clear lie that bale wanted to go and all the stories are fabricated.

as I have always said bale.is staying and real madrid have not got the finances to sign livermore let alone bale.

Top whoring nice work

Cheers mate, she's doing ok now she's back on her drip. Pregnant with our third child and has severe hyperemises which means she can't eat our drink anything and is throwing up all the time. All which makes her severely dehydrated.

Just realised I've told you lot about the baby before anyone else. Gotta love the Spurs family.

Hope your hospital thingy today went ok as well? Our am I getting my posters mixed up?

Naw, you've got the right guy alright.
Was getting a new hip. All went well and should be out in a week. I am expecting to be able to trial for Spurs in 3 months (Bale replacement).

All the best to your wife, and the baba. Hope everything works out fine (I'm sure it will).
Good luck from the SC family :)

True enough. Villa especially though. I'm not doubting lambert's ability as a coach but there's a lot of yoof there, and forgive me for being arrogant etc, not much of it strikes me as particularly quality yoof. Not enough to provide good depth etc. They survived one relegation fight. If they get into another scrap they might not escape this time. But whatevs. Not our problem. Hope Scotty lands on his feet wherever he goes.

So are we possibly holding off on announcing Capoue until he gets back from international duty?
