Er... good point.Roger said it was Mkhitaryan himself who was in London (though I assume his agent would have been with him too).
Mickey Tyrant was here for the shopping?

Yea it was amazing when we beat them to the signing of Clinton Dempsey......Sounds to good to be true but it would be fantastic. I guess we have to keep in mind that there is a lot more money comming in from the TV deal. If we sign Mighrkitinaniaiannann I'd be delighted, simply because he is a Liverpool target and I can't wait for the RAWK posts.

All im going to say is this. I was told earlier in the window that we would be spending this summer. not just reinvesting what we recoup like last year (and believe me with sales that should be plenty also) but we will have a very clear spend.
We managed to keep AVB onside despite interest from europes biggest spender. We have allegedly got Bale to agree to stay despite the efforts of the worlds biggest club and world record bids. And i think more telling then anything else thus far, we have agreed to sign Paulinho and David Villa. The former has since come out and confirmed its the ambition of the club that has made us an attraction too good to turn down.
Now why would we need to have a key negotiator like Baldini in place also?
Because were having a spend up mother fuckers !!!
or im just having a strangely optimistic Friday pay day
TV Money? If we have a big spend up, I just wonder why we've decided to do it now, rather than the year when we first qualified for the champions league, which could have made all the difference.

You also have to bear in mind that Teola has said in the other thread that The scousers are prepared to pay the majority up frontBut 25m upfront on one player? Just isn't Levy's style.
I can't see us being one of the side in for Belhanda tbh. He has a similar attitude problem to KPB, and if all the players linked away by ITK leave, we will still be left with Sandro, Dembele, Holtby, Siggy, Carroll and possibly Paulinho. The one thing people are missing here is the Belhanda story from yesterday. We've been quite strongly linked in the past, and Montpellier's chairman announced yesterday he had two offers, leaving the decision in the hands of the player where he goes. I find it difficult to believe we would go for Paulinho AND Belhanda, that's £30m if midfielders, but I suppose in a 433 it would give us the depth of 5 genuine options covering 3 starting poisitions without a drop in calibre, in Sandro, Dembele and Holtby, plus Paulinho and Belhanda??? Carroll in the background. Recoup a percentage by selling Parker, Huddlestone and Livermore, probably £10-15m there.
