Mkhitaryan - apparently pronounecd “Micky-tair-ian”, or in his native tongue Հենրիխ Մխիթարյան.

Looked an excellent player in the CL games I've seen, not long on his contract left either. But would be surprised if we ended up spending near 40mil on him AND Paulinho? I reckon our name is just being dangled around to increase the interest to be honest.
Micky Tyrant!

He's definitely leaving. Just can't see many clubs paying £25m straight off the bat.
Maybe his agent is trying his luck. I suppose Arsenal, Utd, Chelsea or City could pay that up front but I doubt any would want to given FFP & in City's case having already blown £30m on Fernandinho. Certainly it's the last thing our Dan would ever do unless he's gone senile & handed Franco the chequebook, which I doubt.

Wouldnt liken him to Lampard at all tbh

Lot more to his game than just scoring goals. Would

Basically if you could mix Lampard/Hazard/Oscar you would get him

Same agent has a player at Fulham, Stanislav Manolev.

His loan expires this weekend with a to-buy option.

I suppose it would be too obvious to suggest he might be in town to sort that out?

All im going to say is this. I was told earlier in the window that we would be spending this summer. not just reinvesting what we recoup like last year (and believe me with sales that should be plenty also) but we will have a very clear spend.

We managed to keep AVB onside despite interest from europes biggest spender. We have allegedly got Bale to agree to stay despite the efforts of the worlds biggest club and world record bids. And i think more telling then anything else thus far, we have agreed to sign Paulinho and David Villa. The former has since come out and confirmed its the ambition of the club that has made us an attraction too good to turn down.

Now why would we need to have a key negotiator like Baldini in place also?

Because were having a spend up mother fuckers !!!

or im just having a strangely optimistic Friday pay day

Roger said it was Mkhitaryan himself who was in London (though I assume his agent would have been with him too).

I don't think we will go mad £ wise not with the stadium still under a cloud

Baldini to me has been bought in to make the most of his black book and find promising kids and to do lessen Levy's workload so he can concentrate more on the stadium.

But we do have to spend this summer, with Arsenal seemingly buying Higuain and Liverpool linked with half of Europe there are 6 teams chasing 4 places now and we can't afford to be left behind.

But 25m upfront on one player? Just isn't Levy's style.

It's surely, Paulinho or Mkhitaryan - not both.

Can he play further forward though as maybe a false 9?

the scousers had a meltdown when the news broke that he may have been in london. they were trying to identify him by his trainers, it was hilarious :ROFLMAO: still think that's too much money for us but would love it just for the lols.

Just an agent using the papers (roger morgan) to force the Bindippers hand. Too much for us.
I agree - and quite simply - is he worth it?

He looks a good finisher and decent passer but first touch, midfield distribution etc. - doesn't look like being our record buy

Sounds to good to be true but it would be fantastic. I guess we have to keep in mind that there is a lot more money comming in from the TV deal. If we sign Mighrkitinaniaiannann I'd be delighted, simply because he is a Liverpool target and I can't wait for the RAWK posts.

Continues waiting patiently, more in hope than expectation though.

I thing in the 4-3-3 AVB want to install you need 3 midfielders beast. But you need a center forward who is dropping deep to take the ball and pass it on the wings. That's why we are keeping Ade who is good at doing that. If Mkhitaryan could play this role then why not.

Well everyone man and his dogs wife has been saying Spurs are only 2 or 3 quality players from a realistic title challenge.. Maybe we are getting the 2 or 3 quality signings and spending quality money to get them..

Paulinho / Villa / A.nother - 50m
