But what does Neil Eatson say?
Ha I don't know and don't really care
But what does Neil Eatson say?
Edit: Oh and If I were a player, I wouldn't come anywhere near the club..
a useless prick of a former manager.
I dont actually want us to sign anyone or sell anyone either.
Its appears our club is being run like a football management game, selling players like cars every 6 months for a small profit, no long term strategy. Players not played in the position they play and never given time to settle.
I'm quite disheartened by the whole thing at the moment. The days of being excited by the transfer window are very much over for me.
Its doesn't take a genius to work out that buying and selling 10 players every season is not exactly a great idea.
Meh.

Yes, the useless prick who got us a record points total last season.
Yes, along with the trophies that his Triffic predecessor won.that points total looks so nice in our trophy cabinet

Rebrov £11m, Bentley £16m (both record buys at the time)......and a few more misfits.
Buying players is a risk, you never really know if they are goiung to fit in until they arrrive, and by then its a bit late
I would & i'd lead us to Champions League glory & a home treble with my 49 goals from central midfield.
Anyone that wants us to get rid of Lamela should just cast their tiny little minds back and remember a young jug eared kid called Bale. Who we very nearly sold. This should end all discussion on the subject.Even given our standards and penchant for humuliation, writing Lamela off and getting shot of him after a few months would be embarrassing for everyone involved with the club. Everyone, even you, especially you!!
But for me, if Lamela is anything less than a moderate success story at Spurs (i.e. we don't find out that he's a dud and we've overpaid; and at the other end of the spectrum we don't sell him and watch him go and become a star for someone else) then I think Levy and Baldini will want shooting, every bit as much as AVB and Sherwood would. My point is that we are so rarely in a position to spend £30m on a single player that we simply have to get these calls right, and if the people in charge at the football club (by which I mean first team coaches, and board members on the football side) end up making a balls-up with a £30m asset like Lamela (in the "not good enough" or "good enough but sold" scenarios) then I don't see how we can ever hope to move on as a club with those people in charge.I'd want Lamela to prove his worth first before sendung Brick Top round the the officies of Baldini and Levy. I have heard countless people on here saying how brilliant he will be but through injuires and a useless prick of a former manager none of us can confim that assupmtion as fact.

The success (or lack of) at Lamela at Spurs will have a massive bearing on how much trust I have in the board, the management and the coaches at Spurs. Get something this big that wrong, and I won't have any faith that they are the people to take us forward.
(Of course, I caveat all of the above with a sincere and passionate hope that Lamela goes on to play and shine for us, and render all of the above doomy speculation a moot point.)
Right but in the case of Bentley he was given a lot of chances before we finally got rid and he never went on to prove himself at Spurs of elsewhere in the years he was with us.
Lamela (and Capoue) both deserve at least 2 years at Spurs to show what they can produce.
