Maybe the “clash” and “London” references are about us going head to head with another London club for someone ??

Would love to donate - regularly pop in to check up on the new updates; however currently living on a disability benefit over here in Aus and can't find the extra cash right now sorry. Hopefully finish my degree this year and into specific work and then will donate to pay back for all these years of ghosting! Anyway, hoping for an exciting day. COYS!

While the lyrics may be irrelevant, I feel like I need to defend the Goats honor here - the lyrics are correct as given - just not the 1st chorus. They are correct for 2nd and 3rd chorus.
Yep 1st chorus its "Meltdown expected, the wheat is growing thin"

So 'meltdown expected' is missing

Meltdown expected is the missing lyric
And 'engines stop running, the wheat's growing thin' are inverted.

The ice age is coming, the sun's zooming in
Meltdown expected, the wheat is growing thin
Engines stop running, but I have no fear

Simple one about something to look forward to today I reckon. And a decent earworm for the day to boot.

Perhaps this is about more than a signing?

Alasdair Gold snippets from todays article:

football.london understands that Spurs plan to secure a long-term successor to Hugo Lloris in the summer and it would take a remarkable opportunity to arise in the final hours for that timetable to shift forward.

Re: Hincapie
However, a summer deal is currently seen as more likely for anyone chasing the 6ft defender unless a still pricey loan-back agreement can be made with the Bundesliga club who are not keen on losing him this month.

Spurs want to sign two centre-backs in the summer, one on the left and one for the right/centre, and while they will keep an eye out for any late opportunities to push one of those moves forward, that is deemed more unlikely than likely at this point.

Some of you really do baffle yourselves don't you :D

Banging on about the lyrics when it's much simpler than that. It needs to be too.

Fucking state of you. Henceforth all cryptics will be based on Teletubbies, Bagpuss or The Clangers. And even then it's going to be a challenge isn't it.

My god you're old.

How about some Rag, Tag and sodding Bobtail to keep us all on our toes.

Meltdown expected is missing.

So with the news Porro is a loan, the fans are going to have a meltdown we’ve only got two loans in this window. ??‍♂️

People are wrong about the lyric btw.

there’s two verses like the one A&C posted, and one of them ends:

A nuclear era but I have no fear.

New Clear Era. Qataris incoming?

There was ITK last night that Hincapie was always the 3rd player we were looking to sign in this window.

Now, I'm crap at criptics so I'm not going to try to solve it, but 'Engines stop running could be tat someone has landed in London with a view to medical & signing. That could be either Porro or maybe Hincapie. (n)

BTW Bullseye on the way to the coffers! ;)
