You might remember that last year on Spurscommunity we had a fundraising page for Cancer Research UK. And SC gave generously, you raised an astonishing £3381 for charity and this thread was filled with sadness as story after story was posted about how cancer had impacted your lives.

So today we're going again, so for a short while, this isn't about ITK, Tottenham Hotspur or transfers, it's about a different kind of support, about the loved ones we've lost, about being there for each other and about caring. The absolutely amazing and generous response from fellow Spurs fans last year has encouraged us to try and do this annually. So this year, we're raising money for the British Heart Foundation to help the fight against Heart Disease, Strokes and Diabetes, things that very many of us will, one way or another, have been impacted by.

To that end we've a set up a JustGiving page, you can donate here

About the BHF
With your support, we aim to fund over £100 million of research each year into all heart and circulatory diseases and the things that cause them. Heart diseases. Stroke. Vascular dementia. Diabetes. They're all connected, and they're all under our microscope. Together we can beat heartbreak forever.

Please support us and each other in doing whatever we can to raise money for this worthy cause.

You can also use this thread to tell your story, if you currently need support or have your own memory that you wish to share.

The pink really threw me off to begin with. But, happy to see it's for an excellent cause. My nan passed away 6 years ago a couple of days following a heart attack so this hits home. Will be donating come pay day towards the end of the month for sure.

Donated, what a great cause (y)

My dad sadly passed away 3 years ago from heart issues. We were both season ticket holders, I just wish he could have got to see the new stadium.

My daughter has been a type 1 diabetic since she was 1, spent the week before Christmas in A&E and the ward so Christmas is spoilt for me forever.

Donated.

Edit: Thanks for the love everyone, it's a proper **** of a disease especially for a small child to have to go through.

BHF is one of my regular donations anyway, so if anyone has an interest in doing this regularly, you can do so at https://www.bhf.org.uk/how-you-can-help/donate/donation/get-started.

They also have various other schemes that require less altruism, such as a Weekly Lottery (https://www.bhf.org.uk/how-you-can-help/donate/bhf-big-wins/flutter), and the Heart of Steel (https://www.bhf.org.uk/how-you-can-help/fundraise/heartofsteel) which I've used as a nice gift idea before. There's also an Online Shop (https://giftshop.bhf.org.uk).

They also have lots of good resources, such as How to Perform CPR (https://www.bhf.org.uk/how-you-can-help/how-to-save-a-life/how-to-do-cpr), which is worth a look (y)

Will donate in a minute. Is this thread open to those that are banned from this section of the site? Just out of curiosity, more than anything

Done. Love you guys.
I’ve got a mild heart condition - my electrics are on the fritz- so BHF are one of my favourite charities.
