I think that move would be best suited for all parties involved and I could see some legs in it but then these player swap deals hardly ever happen in the real world.

no! Jenas going the other way would be the best move for everybody :)

Either way though, as you say, these swap deals or make weights rarely ever happen.

don't get this mate, explain why you think its not Ade....cheers

Presumably because the potential Adebayor transfer has been flogged to saga levels. It reads like a new name, not one we've been heavily linked to and "agreed a fee for" according to Auntie and Sky Sports News a number of weeks ago.

Kind of what Happy Spur said just got a feeling but also don't see why we'd need to keep quiet about anything to do with Ade since every man and his dog knows we're after him/at advance stages. (I asked my dog anyway and he knew.)

ok cheers mate - makes sense, thought there was a bit of info I had missed.

Playing week in week out would always benefit a player, Jol loves Huddlestone but it'll be madness IMO to get rid of him, I think he could be the surprise package for next season.

Akqayid asked JJ if the thing which is moving is on lockdown:

Yes it is and there are reasons for that which will become apparent.

Which leads me to think it's not Adebayor he's talking about.

Which leads me to think it may well be Adebayor and its on lock down to cover up Citys RVP move? Just another option.

Just dont get the love for Dembele, lazy and does not defend.

He is just OK - not even close to Modric.

Dembele would be a great bit of business, affordable, realistic, fit the AVB way, versatile and won't want silly wages. The type of player we should go for, instead of another wild goose chase

Think you might want to watch a little more football mate.

Midfielder with the most tackles in the league last season I believe.

These sort of posts drive me nuts. How the hell is he lazy, you don't move a guy back into midfield if he's lazy...he's actually a very good tackler, and has a lot of quality on the ball.

We don't necessarily need to replace Modric with a very similar like for like in any case.

Because he's a troll. He's doing it to wind you up.

But isn't that the point though - Huddlestone won't start week in week out and, well you all probably know my feelings on the subject so won't divulge again in this thread but I do think it will benefit his career by moving to a team like Fulham and trying to establish himself as the main man in the centre of midfield.

Suggested we should sign Vertonghen 3 years ago and then Dembele two seasons ago. Just saying.

Seriously??? The 2nd highest tackling midfielder in the PL last season.....

I think Dembele is a very good player, however I agree with you that he is nowhere near Modric`s level....I just don`t think he can run a game from midfield....
