Lloris; there was a meeting last week as I said.
No deal done yet obviously and I don’t know what went down at the meeting.
But I’m told of 3 deals Lyon have already in place that will be done with the LLoris money.

If Harry seriously thinks Carroll, Walcott and Dempsey would take us to the title then thank fuck AVB is in charge now

I really doubt Harry would have been looking at Walcott. 1) we have Lennon. 2) he's an Arsenal player. Cannot see that one at all. Dempsey is a proven goalscoring midfielder in the EPL. Carroll on his Newcastle form you'd think would score a fair few for us with the service he'd get from a Bale or a VDV etc

Upgrades on some of deadwood I suppose

H wouldn't give a toss if they were ex Arse - he bought Gallas and Ade in and was also after Viera.
I ended up with the feeling that H didn't do "club loyalty" much.
Not that I would've said "no" to any of those players, it's hardly a reason to write off signing Walcott.

The fact that he's shit - now there's a reason for not signing him!

There is also the rumour that Walcott's contract is running down and they will let him walk... enough reason to see why Harry might have been looking at him as an option..

Interesting... Although as much as I trust JJ I'm not going to get excited just yet - as we saw with the player from RM, things can change very quickly.

Slightly different case IMO. Walcott an active member of the side. Ade had moved on and had openly gone against the Goon fans. Gallas was a free agent. Vieira had also moved on.

Anyway I take your point that Walcott isn't very good and the fact we have Aaron Lennon

I'm guessing that these are the signings that are supposed to make us "world class excited", that's if he knows what he is talking about anyway

It sounds like Lyon are already prepared to let Lloris go but are just trying to squeeze every last penny out of the deal.

"Daniel Levy, please meet the French version of Daniel Levy"

This one could take a while me thinks.

I'm hoping these deals JJetset are refering to are for one centre forward and one wide forward.

There's no chance of us spending £30m on Moutinho, especially if we only get £35m for Modric.

Frankly, I'd be absolutely dumbfounded if we did. However, if AVB wants him to replace Modric, that appears to be his buy-out clause and there won't be a whole lot of latitude for horse-trading, especially as we'll hardly be able to hide the fact we've made a £20m profit on Modders. Even a cheaper out-of-left-field alternative is going to take a big chunk out of that.

JJ posted this some time ago. Aulas appears to want something close to what United paid for de Gea; do you see Levy agreeing to that when we have rather more pressing concerns? And OL have three deals waiting on Lloris? Just how much are they expecting to get for him?

Probably a few £5m deals, maybe he will clear some big wages/bonuses that they can then allocate to transfers?

Just want him done and Adebayor, Newcastle is fast approaching:(

That's why a deal for Allen for circa £10million represents a sound investment as it leaves us with room to manoeuvre for other deals which across the board should leave us in a healthy position to be competitive on all fronts.
