Last night I heard the was an Olympic competition called 48kg snatch. If i'd have known earlier the mrs would have been a cert for Gold. Later last night she tried to get me into bed and when I turned her down she said 'Is there anything lower than your sex drive?'..........I laughed and said 'Try your side of the mattress, you fat ****'

Ade to be completed by today, if Mr Greg Stobart of goal.com is to be believed. He usually gets his Spurs stuff right. At the rumoured $5M it will cost to bring him in, we've effectively spent $0.5M for Ade in exchange for Pienaar ($4.5M)...thats the best bargain for our striker situation this summer!

Plus it gives us the option of spending whatever we have budgeted left on the good forward too!

Parks on keepers: "Carlo quick with feet, Gomes v athletic, Brad steady Eddie. Good mix. Decent prospects coming through in Archer & Miles".

Q from floor re: strikers. Freund mentioning Coulibaly for the third time in a few mins. Seems to rate him. "We need a new striker though".

Tony Parks - "Gareth Bale wants to lose the no 3 shirt. Doesn't want no. 9 it was just the only number free on tour. All will be revealed"

Parks: "We're always looking to improve. Brad 41, Carlo 39. Hugo Lloris is a contender. Watched him since 16. I like him. Has the talent".

Parks "Coaches have put extra effort into set plays pre season". Freund bigging up Sig "Fantastic ability, you'll be suprised by his talent"

"2 seasons in a row we blew out at end, why?" TP:"Heavy schedule, didn't rotate 2 yrs ago. Last year HR court & Eng rumours were factor imo"

Parks giving off feeling AVB is going to give Europa a real go this season: "He's won it before. Players has been told it's very important".

With this signing the expense was always going to be in his wage though (and the knock on effects of his wage in term of star player parity)

After a promising start to the transfer window it has all gone too quiet. Of course we don't know what is happening behind the scenes but concerning that the season is nearly upon us and we don't have any strikers- except Defoe and i would prefer us to move him on and get someone better. I guess Adebayor will probably come in the end but that still leaves us looking for one for the first team plus at least one first class back up.

This is good news as Greg seems to be reliable with his Spurs info.

I do also think that due to the delicate nature of the Ade deal that we've been holding off on signing another striker and expect once Ade is bought to be linked with a fair few, especially if Defoe makes an imminent departure to QPR.

Thanks SS57, cause thinking if Levy is in the US still he might stay a while to see if he can negotiate with Aulas or the RM president on the deals personally...

This Adebayor transfer is dragging on longer than Vertonghen did. Both players waiting on their clubs to pay them off, Ajax took their time and City wont rush either. It's a rather frustrating wait but hopefully we'll complete it when we return from the US.

JJetset has suggested that things should pick up soon with AVB and Daniel Levy spending a lot of time together in America. I imagine things will gather pace on our return.
