I think you can edit it in paypal but someone else who has one set up can probably help more

In Paypal, think you need to cancel the auto payment and set-up a new one. Only option to edit seems to be to change payment source.

This is why i'm often cajoling, nudging, outright begging and open to bribery during the transfer window.

Have you ever thought about not locking this thread when some go off topic and then telling those you ban they can have access again for £20?

Dragon:

Today king is flavor of the month on the strikers front and we are In talks , it has literally gone from ings to woods to king in a week

bournmouth set what most would consider a reasonable amount for a striker in modern terms despite kings contract length, price Under 20 and levy then offered a little over half their valuation lol

He’s got to be cheaper than the other two, so makes much more sense

If we're going for King then this is one of those transfers where, if we have a good line with his agent and can get him to sit tight then I wouldn't mind if we play it out in order to try and force the price down. We've sorted the two key areas and we are ready to start the season. If drawing this one out means we might be able to spend the money elsewhere I'd be fine with it.

Morning all!
Pinch and a Punch, end of the month!

HAVE YOU DONATED THIS MONTH/YET/AT ALL?

As you all know, SC relies on your donations to be able to provide a unrivalled coverage of ITK, if it wasn't for you guys, the server would crash left right and centre and we simply couldn't afford to be as awesome and sexy as I am, I mean we are.

In one transfer window we ran a poll asking when people thought we'd sign a certain player. The poll got an astonishing number of votes, over 600 of you took part.

Six bloody hundred. And that's just the yokes who bothered voting. Whichever way you slice it that's a lot. If everyone slung just three or four quid in the pot we'd be sorted for quite a while, so if you've never donated before, please consider doing so now.

Now, when it's donation drive time, which it is i'm afraid, where are you? *Goes all Delia* where aaaaare yoooooou? Let's be having youuuuuuu!

I reckon we've about 500 or more lurkmeisters, so come on guys, if you're one of them and you enjoy SC's coverage of the Transfer Window (and lets face it, you do because you're here right?), then please chip in. It doesn't have to be a massive amount.

And if you happen to be a Spurs mad gazzillionaire, cough the fuck up. And if you're Daniel Levy, fucking hell shortstuff, put your hands in your pockets. And get the BSoDL to chip in too.

But A&C, where does the money go?

Outgoings: The server costs £400 per month. Forum software purchases/licenses/misc comes to around £500 a year. So currently, the cost of SC is about £5k a year.

Incomings: Advertising/Affiliates can sometimes cover the costs during the transfer window (January, July, August) but thats sometimes. The rest of the year that falls well short. Its difficult to give an exact figure because the numbers don't stay the same but i'd say £100 a month during the quiet months. Donations during the quiet months come to about £50pm if we're lucky.

Rob will know better than I do, but I reckon we're short by about £2500 a year.

If one month we raise more than is needed, it stays in the pot as it won't be long before it IS needed. The shortfall is made up out of Robs pocket. I'll repeat that.......It comes out of his pocket. Think about that for a minute. I reckon he pays an average of £50 a WEEK.

This is why i'm often cajoling, nudging, outright begging and open to bribery during the transfer window. It's when the most of you are about and our last big donation drive raised enough to cover costs for a couple of months or so.

Any excess raised stays in the pot until its needed when donations/income goes right down. Absolutely nothing goes on anything other than SC's running costs.

So, if you'd like to donate, here's the link.

We use Paypal but you don't need an account with them, you can use your card in the same way as making any other online purchase. Very securely.
£25 big ones in the pot. Thanks for helping maintain sanity through lockdown.

Up to a point, but historically either somebody else nips in or we end up with nothing some other way.

Yeah it's a big risk, We'd have to be confident he wants to join us. I think it depends on the prices being asked. I think anything over 15 million for a striker who frankly didn't score many goals, in the final year of his contract in a team recently relegated who is 28 years old is a bit steep.

Fair enough, let's just pay 30 mill to get it done and then we can crack on promptly with whining that we're unable to afford anybody else. I said before the Hojbjerg deal that you have to have a balance in how you approach your transfers and prioritise certain ones to get over the line quickly. We did that with the DM and RB positions being key signings who will start the majority of our games. To balance that out we now need to be sensible with how we approach the remaining transfers and possibly risk missing out.

We need another striker. It’s a hole that we need to fill with some quality. If it’s a reasonable price, pay it.

But the contention is whether it's reasonable or not? I wouldn't be saying sit tight if I thought Bournemouth were being reasonable.

I think we need to factor the situation into our thinking regarding price. Like, is King worth 20m? Maybe. Is he worth 20m when you're looking at playing 10 matches in 20 days because of cup and europa matches in Sept? I think he's worth splashing that little extra to keep Harry fresh. Though maybe JM thinks Troy can fill some of those spots. Dunno. My point being, the compressed nature of our schedule this year is going to highlight our need for legitimate depth and could be a reason to not play this out through October.

EDIT: I'm a fool and keep forgetting we already sent Troy off to Millwall. Apologies
