End of?Massively agree. There's no benefit at all if we are after top players. That's why I think our business is done this window. We've broken even on sales, maybe a few loans out, can't sell Lamela. That's it chaps

hoping, really hoping, you are right!!!Hugo will not be sold. Everyone at the club knows how important he is to us. Even if DDG was sold a month ago, Hugo wouldn't be going anywhere. He wants to win trophies and play champions league, yes. But he want's to do that with Spurs, and Spurs only. He's the most passionate player at the club, and he loves playing for us, even if he does have dodgy Walker in front of him making things hard.
Totally agree.Especially when for the first window ever we got the deadwood shifted in plenty of time to get who we wanted one. At this stage of the window you have to be offering exactly what the selling club wants of more than they expect not 25 to 50 percent less as is Levy style !Irrespective of how this all pans out. I still fail to see the benefits of waiting so late.
From a business point of view it seems flawed. From a footballing point of view its actually negligent
If Hugo wants to go then let him go, he deserves to be playing at a major club and providing United stump up £40 million, take the money and sign Berahino and Wanyama.
There are a handful of goalkeepers who I would consider world class and we have one of them. Would be disgusted and devastated if we were to lose Hugo at this stage even if it meant we brought it in a couple more players. If Hugo wants to go then let him go, he deserves to be playing at a major club and providing United stump up £40 million, take the money and sign Berahino and Wanyama.
The impressive part being its not even deadline day. We've entered the panic phase of deadline day meltdown.

Well it's not "that is that" is it because you don't actually know do you. If you want to have a bit of a negative outlook on a situation fine, but it always annoys me when the posters who do think like this have to post it as if it's fact.Lloris was supposedly a surprise 'gift' from Lewis,
(where 'gift' probably means more like a loan.)
If Lewis feels the time is right to cash in, then he will, and that is that really.
Nothing to worry about regarding Hugo, but for other reasons than have already been posted.Beginning to worry now
And further to post 370, in response to whoever it was asking if i'd join the BSoDL, if we DO sign Berahino and Witsel then yeah, the blood tests will be in the post, i'll go bald, somehow reduce my height by about 4ft and learn how to imitate Levy's voice, which I imagine to be somewhere between Joe Pasquale and Julian Clary.

I've rated this friendly for no other reason than you are now just a 'like' away from a full house. Good luck!I fully expect us to sell Lloris and sign Austin at best. The fact that we have again left it so late in the window and are well into a poor start to the season and have only one Centre Forward in the squad and a Centre Back starting at centre mid despite having a fully fit squad, shows that Levy has already failed...again. Even if we manage to sign a few worldies at the death, by the time they are up to speed the season will already be half gone. We keep being told lessons have been learned, clearly they haven't, Axel Witsel and Pato are both average players and if that is the best out new super scouting system can come up with I am frankly astounded. Pathetic management from top to bottom a manager playing boring football, a team with no creativity. He is having one hand tied behind his back with transfers. If we could't sign another striker, we should have kept Soldado rather than sell him for a nominal fee. Really don't know what to make of all this.
Not sure either would make good keepers to be honestIf Hugo wants to go then let him go, he deserves to be playing at a major club and providing United stump up £40 million, take the money and sign Berahino and Wanyama.
