Chill peoples. I referred to it as being the Worthless Cup as wasn't it the Worthington Cup back then? And wasn't the Worthless Cup its nickname? I don't actually consider it to be worthless... Far from it. I was at Wembley in '08 and f*cking loved beating them Chavscums and beering it up until the small hours in the Crock O'Shite just up the road from the stadium.

I've just bumped into Forlan at Roggerio's on Putney high street. He went for the mega breakfast, the same as I. He said he was pleased as he put pen to paper with Spurs the day before and was on route to Heathrow for his flight home.

This is utter rubbish -if this was true Spurs plc have to declare it to the stock exchange and via their web site .When will people learn that Spurs plc do follow the rules of the stock exchange !

Don't worry about my integrity, I never had any in the first place!

Those who doubt, book in to a trip to Marbella next weekend and go to bentleys club on the Friday night, or ocean club on the Saturday ;-)

Seriously though as I said it's just chat from a player, nothing more or less, and I wouldn't make it up for popularity, whether anything comes off or not remains to be seen, but I never once said any one was signing. Some posters seem to take what's posted and come up with their own result!!

Personal opinion is that I'm not over whelmed with anything I've been told!!

Actually with Forlan this might not be true - the deal has to be announced if it's more than a certain %age of the club's turnover - and if the 7M figure for Forlan is true, I don't think it would be a big enough fee to warrant telling the stock exchange. Jenas back in the day was only just large enough at £8M and our turnover is a lot higher nowadays.

"If I have to go to Man City, I will do that with pleasure and if I have to stay in Madrid, I will stay with pleasure," Adebayor told Boss FM. "What is important is I want to play.

"But I want to make it clear there is no chance of me going to Zenit.

"I love the country but I don't think I can see myself playing in Russia.

"I don't have anything to prove to anybody in football. I have done a lot of things in the sport.

"I have scored important goals and played in big games so for me, in my head, I don't have any pressure at all."

I'm not sure what mentality Parker brings? Most of the teams he has played for seem to be characterized by underperformance.

To be fair he's only been at charlton and west ham if u take away the chelsea period, but come on we all know what qualities scott parker would bring and 80% of them are not skill related ha ha

More total rubbish! Why do people like you make things up ? All assets (players) have to be declared + high wage earners . Even Fredal was declared -and he was free !

I doubt the club would wait long to announce a new striker signing anyway. I'm sure they're well aware of how much the fans have been crying out for a new striker. As soon as we sign one it will be straight up on the Official Site.

On another note, I doubt the players know much more than the fans when it comes to incoming transfers anyway. I'm sure they just hear whispers just like we do but I very much doubt they're kept in the loop by Daniel Levy and Harry Redknapp.

Shanks is one of the most respected chaps on here and definitely isn't a wum. I don't even see him in these ITK forums much anyway. So no doubt if he says some players have told him about Forlan then they have told him.

Whether they're pulling his leg or not though remains to be seen. I'm sure footballers do this sort of thing a lot in the transfer windows. I know I would tell a few porkies to fans if I were a footballer.

Or nothing is actually happening.

More like It, we have become a bit of a laughing stock of late. The amount of people passing comment that we are more interested in the Olympic stadium then signing players and progressing is scary.
