Bale was reported as having a knock a few days ago, so it makes sense he's not training, but he is out there. Stop worrying over nothing.

just wish we could announce he has signed a new deal to stop all this. If he is happy to stay like we keep hearing then lets show that to the world

so RM are b*stards cos they won't pay enough to get bale legitimately, but we should low ball valencia and they should just cope with it cos..?

I'm confused. double standards much?

I think people are of that opinion due to their tactics, not their desire to sign Bale.

Away from the negotiating table, I don't see us doing anything underhand to secure Soldado...any suggestion otherwise is pure speculation.

Hope that clears your confusion.

I really think it'd be a mistake to sell Dempsey, not because of what he offers on the pitch but because the Prem is set to absolutely explode in popularity here in the States. In the past if you wanted to follow a club you had to pay money for a special tv channel to watch the games and turn to dodgy streams for the (large percentage) of games that were not broadcast on said channel. Beginning next season every single game will be broadcast on basic cable/satellite packages. In the past the league was a niche interest and now it'll be ubiquitous, inescapable.

Anecdotally I have been able to convince a large number of friends to support Spurs largely because of Dempsey, who is far and away the most beloved American player. This could be extremely valuable to the club over the coming years as the Prem gets a larger and larger chunk of the $200bn U.S. sports industry.

Now all that being said success on the pitch will do more for us than anything else and if we can bring in Sanchez or Rodrigo then there's really no reason to keep Clint around.

no. not really. I seem to remember not so long ago a widely respected itk suggested benteke had been shown around our training complex - that's the same tactics (if not in the same league) as Madrid talking/lying via Marca. It's to circumnavigate the team that owns the player.

bemoaning one club doing it to us, but failing to recognise we do it is double standards. (y)

From The Cobra on TFC:

Deal all but done. No indication from our end that it is off. People need to calm down and relax

I was a bit uncomfortable with that incident, it's not something I condone at all, but Marca/RM have done this for 2 years in a row now, constantly, for our 2 best players.

Why are people on here panicking about a article in Marca, it's all bs, just like every other article they have published on Bale this summer.

If Chief Dan Levy signed up here and uploaded a picture of himself holding a 'Bale is not for sale' sign, people would still
a) say it was photoshopped
b) call him a WUM
c) believe the next two bit media story about Bale leaving and start crying.

The club doesn't have any links with anonymous "ITKs". It's widely recognised that Marca acts as the in-house journal for Madrid. It's also extremely specific in its claims. No doubt they will explain it away as some complete misunderstanding.

Anyway, there are too many people with high hormone levels today, so every bit of negative news is washing over them with rage and sadness.
Funny how the ITKs are all trying to put out emotional fires started by crap publications.
