I was a bit uncomfortable with that incident, it's not something I condone at all, but Marca/RM have done this for 2 years in a row now, constantly, for our 2 best players.

but seriously what we gonna do? just make em pay through the nose if/when Bale kicks up enough of a fuss! He's not going this year; of that I'm positive. Then it's up to us to qualify for the CL and make him want to stay and play in it - in our shirt!!

no. not really. I seem to remember not so long ago a widely respected itk suggested benteke had been shown around our training complex - that's the same tactics (if not in the same league) as Madrid talking/lying via Marca. It's to circumnavigate the team that owns the player.

bemoaning one club doing it to us, but failing to recognise we do it is double standards.

I'm not getting into an argument, but ill say it again. Any suggestion otherwise is pure speculation.

The club doesn't have any links with anonymous "ITKs". It's widely recognised that Marca acts as the in-house journal for Madrid. It's also extremely specific in its claims. No doubt they will explain it away as some complete misunderstanding.

I didn't say they did, perhaps you've misunderstood my post - although I don't know how you could know that as fact - I was highlighting that our club had shown another teams player around. Not that the ITK revelation was designed by Levy to drive a wedge betwixt club and player.

"It's widely recognised that Marca acts as the in-house journal for Madrid" wouldn't stand up in court mate, so what will UEFA do? SOD ALL.

There's no point keep banging on it, we (spurs - not you and me) just get on with it.

Agree totally, just sick of the bollocks they keep spouting. Annoyingly I would still prefer he went there than anywhere else as he deserves to be challenging for the CL (if not with us).

I was pointing out the difference between the positions - why anonymous "ITKs" are not similar to Madrid using Marca to generate propaganda and favourable coverage.
