Seriously what has happened! We were flooded with links and info for weeks. Exciting leaks almost every few days.

In the last 2/3 weeks when things should be ramping up its been so quiet.

I really want to believe that we've got loads in the pipeline but I just don't feel it.

Some in here really need to climb down from the ledge and wait and see what we have after the deadline.
We may be pleased, we may not be.
But, right now we just don't know

Because the people with info who give it to people to share are busy...

IMO, Paratici was lining up "Kane money" deals. Kane money isn't coming in so we aren't doing those deals anymore.

Gotta admit our targets are diminishing and getting lower down the lists as the days go by seemingly! Vlahovic & martinez seemingly out of reach, to Traore & French kid who’s being loaned back - hope these aren’t our only 2 ins this week, but i highly suspect they will be.
IF and IMO, if that happens it’s not been a good window.
Yeah we've set a trend after that abysmal hunt for a manager. At this rate, I'd seriously be surprised if we actually sign anyone else. A summer of hope turns into a summer of hopeless expectation once again.

Has it not all calmed down due to the Kane issue? We know that drastically changes our budget if he goes, and therefore our targets also. We need to know the final outcome of Kane, to pull the trigger on the relevant targets, and cut our cloth accordingly.

Many of us in here have long memories, so we know what to expect. Every summer transfer window we miss out on targets & get inferior ones instead. Just take a look at our last recent few summer transfers. Last season we had Mourinho's haul and none of them have really inspired, let alone pushed us on, The season before we bought N'Dombele, Loan to buy for Lo Celso, turns out that was money wasted. This club is useless at buying quality players, or at the very least they forget their abilities the moment they pull on the shirt at our club. I have a feeling we won't be pleased & the Kane fiasco will go on and we'll have yet another season of turgid football. Happy to be proved wrong for sure, but I've learnt being a spurs fan, it's best to have that half glass empty approach.

What about the money supposedly coming in from either a naming rights deal or sponsorship. What about the players we were going to get irrespective of kane

The thing I have to laugh at is that we get a DoF. One with a deep black book that knows his onions and yet with a week left of the window we are looking at a guy that the manager knows from his previous club. I could have done that one ? oh we also happened to play wolves yesterday. Top Doffing ?

i wont assess him until after the window shuts. Any DOF wanting to do a good job, would be getting the best value of these cash strapped european clubs. ill give him the chance. Also you have to remember that we are paying for previous bad purchases and therefore cannot shift them. Players such as sissoko and Aurier are never going to be bought by PL teams, other than the very biggest clubs nobody has money or wage capacity so we have to take a huge loss or struggle to purchase players.

You can only get linked to so many players though. Look at the threads in this forum. So so many players.

I won't assess him until about 2023/24!

Guys, there is still 7 days left (albeit fucking long and painful days at that). ITKs have said for a while that the last week will be busy. Try and stay calm and see what happens. You can all start throwing your toys when we get the inevitable "that's all our business done" with two hours to spare.

I don’t understand what the uproar is about tbh, we’ve spent what? around £80/90m if we go through with all the obligations/options. I can’t imagine that with covid and no CL the club is in a financially stable enough position to spend the Kane money (another £130m+) without actually selling him. Surely you didn’t expect us to spend near or over £200m in this window, of all windows? Also have to remember that the £150m we’ve spent on Lo celso, Ndombele, berwijn and Rodon is yet to have a dramatic effect on the squad, we can’t just keep spending money without getting people out the door, another thing we haven’t done enough of.
