You guys remember last Sunday right? We beat the Champions with our existing players. I get transfers are exciting but maybe we now have a coach who organises well, has got our squad reasonably bonded and might like the look of a couple of lads that had previously been earmarked for the exit door.

City are the only team arrogant enough to play to our strengths. That's why we do them every year. Perform well tomorrow and I'll agree with you.

Nuno's wolves always did extremely well against the top teams but they struggled against everyone else.

Kane has fully shagged us, wiped his cock on the curtains and put a smoke out on the sofa. Was going to move in with the hot neighbor across the road. She however has been a total banger and having it away with half the street. She’s spurned H and now he’s sitting on the curb wondering what to do.

joking aside. We criticize clubs for wanting to extract top dollar for there assets, yet when we do the same it’s ok? Hmm.

Just realism in this case. Kane is always going to be 'worth' more to another PL club, as there "rival tax", but also if you had to choose one player in the entire world of football that was guaranteed to score 20 goals per season, it's Kane. It's not Messi, it's not Cristiano, it's not Mbappe etc.

Bit different to a team asking £70m+ for a player off the back of one good season. It'd be another story if Vlahovic or Martinez had 3 or 4 seasons of golden boots and so on.

I was/am expecting kane to leave, but I don't see the need for a meltdown if he doesn't. It's not really in our control.

We've been told time and time again that the end of the transfer window was when most of the business would be done and when clubs - especially on the continent - will be sweating on finances and will inevitably be much more compliant in looking to do business at more 'acceptable' rates.

Shouldn't have to say this but let's critique the transfer window/Paratici/the board when the damn thing shuts and we know where the land lies, not now!

No. Last Sunday was very different from the previous wins against City. Almost every time we beat them, we have been totally outplayed and outclassed and got a lucky break/VAR decision. Last week we absolutely deserved the win. We out played and out fought them. We haven't done this in a long time.

In truth, so far all Levy has accomplished is to reduce the clubs overheads.

He didn't need to hire a DOF in order to achieve that.

Loads of money to spend is one thing, ITK is saying we're not overspending for players. Vlahvic price has pretty much doubled and Martinez we pretty had a deal with until Chelsea decided to go for Lukaku so if we're going on ITK and all other reports etc... it's not that we can't buy people. It's that people keep shifting the goalposts

(which I guess is a bit of irony given it's us)

I don't buy it buddy. It's just another excuse in the drawer labeled Tottenham's transfer excuses.
At least this season I'm actually not unhappy with the team per say, so I'm not unduly fussed, just disappointed really.

One thing I will say is that it’s going to be an exciting last week before the window shuts… regardless of how folk are feeling right here & now after Hercs update… and I feel no way should we be doing a deal for a £80-90million Vlahovic..

I do love your faith, almost makes me want to believe...almost

Some peeps need to calm down

still 11 days to go

let’s wait till the window closes before judging

The window isn’t even open yet
The players are all on holiday/at some tournament
It’s only July
There’s still 3 weeks to go
Still 11 days to go
The last week is where all the deals will happen
Deadline Day will be big for us
The manager was happy with the squad

It’s the same thing. Every. Single. Year

Didn’t we have itk that vlahahovic was being brought into play along side kane? And if Kane was sold we’d then bring in lautaro? Now looks like we’re not getting either? And struggling to get a back up now?

So we should win then?

So much negativity! Even under Mourinho, we had a great chance of finishing 3rd last season (ahead of Liverpool with a few games left, and they finished 3rd). The players downed tools under Mourinho and then Mason

Now, we have players working harder and a head coach who's supposedly got them fitter and has ditched the crazy tactic of allowing our defenders to come under extreme pressure for 80 minutes (even the best players in the world would crack under that).

Dier and Sanchez aren't as crap as so many think, we've added Romero, may be adding Takehiro "the Japanese Lad" Tomiyasu, have brought in Gill (who will get us out of our seats) and the team will benefit from cutting Kane down to size - players like Moura and Bergwijn have more confidence as it's not all about Kane

We may actually score some free kicks

I'm excited about the coming season

Wasn't their ITK this morning that the Vlahovic price has doubled since we started talking and we were prepared to pay around 50mil but now at 90mil it's a little bit ridiculous? So now we're still gonna get a striker but a different one that isn't valued at such a stupidly high price?

It’s always the same each transfer window. Fans build themselves up in a frenzy by believing every bit of ITK and journalist tweets they read. And then convince themselves if we don’t sign player X Y Z that we’re gonna have the worst season in our entire history. When in fact it NEVER ever is the case.

I think most of us know the score with Spurs, a “rebuild” has been on the cards for years and during the summer we hear exciting transfer news which eventually ends with us getting 1 or 2 players who could go straight into the first team (because the quality of player we have now isn’t as good as we had) and a handful of possible squad rotation players.

If you go through the transfer updates for every window over the last 6-10 years it’ll be the same stuff coming out, e.g. goal posts moved, need to sell before buying, hard to sell unwanted players (probably asking for too much in fees). It’s basically the same shit different day with us, almost as if there’s a known constant in these deals!

ITK do a fantastic job in providing the updates they do, but any reports about transfers involving Spurs should not be treated as gospel but more as “nice to know”, and if they turn out to be true then fair enough. Until the club confirms any player transfers we should not be getting our hopes up or becoming disheartened when a supposed target isn’t signed or a “nailed on transfer” goes tits up.
