He has to start Phillips at CB. Absolutely nothing to lose here, we are literally missing 4/6 most important players.

Chuck the kids in, they have 2 weeks to train with the 1st team, they have been playing this way in the u21’s

Please don’t fall for what every other manager has done Ange and think these squad players are anywhere near good enough to play modern premier league football

It’s more how poor and unsuited Dier is to our game. He’s just not good enough

If you honestly think and CB pairing of Dier and Davies with PEH infront isn’t on to a hiding to nothing against that Villa side, you haven’t watched much football recently

Obvious choices for me, only question is regarding wether it's Dier or Phillips pairing Davies.

I'd have gone for this line-up, it has 8 players in their normal role, I think GLC can play a version of the maddison role. Davies is the lcb backup and a lot of people have spoken about Royal as the Cuti replacement.

I think it depends on the international call ups too, Phillips and Dorrington won't be on the training pitch? Bentancur is staying here though. Maybe Bryan will sneak ahead of GLC as he's staying

Well, he does see them in training all the time, so I guess he knows exactly how well they fit his system. Us mug punters only get to watch the 90 odd minutes that they play in competetive games, which of course tells us nothing...

Might just be me but I thought we were loads better yesterday after Bissouma went off and PEH dropped deeper into the Bissouma role. Obviously different styles but PEH's forward passing was way better than previous games and really got us going again.

For that reason I'd have PEH in that role, and I'm by no means his biggest fan.

Bentancur in to play ahead of him.

Udogie for Royal but I can't see Ange changing the CBs
