Thought Lamptey was lively today. Took up good positions and whipped in a couple of good crosses too. Defensively was solid too and his speed is electric.

But don’t think he’s anywhere near the £50mil that’s been quoted by some. That’s ludicrous
And the worry was he went off limping too.

I know it’s been said before, but I think we have to sell and upgrade both Lucas and Bergwijn. Lucas doesn’t work in Contes system, he’s not structured in his thinking and is far to reactionary in his play style, and Conte clearly doesn’t rate Bergwijn so there’s zero point keeping him regardless of his ability. I really really don’t see the point in keeping them next season.

I believe he genuinely thought he was being racially abused, I also believe that he totally mis-heard it. I don’t think it’s a reason to dislike someone.

I can get over him getting Son sent off. If Romero had done that to a Chelsea player this season no one would have cared
Completely agree. There were a few handbags and we started chanting “who who who let the yids out”, and in London/Essex accents the ‘h’ sound in ‘who’ isnt clear, so if you are not familiar with the chant and English is not your first language, then it could very easily sound like monkey noises.

It’s very unfortunate but I do not hold it against Rudiger for getting it wrong.

Rudiger is one of the best CB's in the world and we don't want him cause he's kind of a dick?

He can join PSG, Real, Bayern etch so doubt we have any chance, but would be a proper statement signing if he somehow ended up here.

Look, Rudiger isn't signing for us. We don't have the money for those wages, and why would he? He can play for an established side.

This thread has been really good at people researching players we could actually sign and now it's pages of Rudiger crap that just isn't going to happen.

Easier to check oneself out of the running for the 10/10, than face rejection.

Possibly, but he puts in a lot of snidey “tackles” and I feel he genuinely doesn’t care if he injures people. The fact he gets away with it at the moment is insane but if we think that type of approach by the refs will be given if he played for us, then I’m sure we would be mistaken!

Can’t stand him.
Completely agree.

More Ginter rumors.

I'm sure he can play LCB, but I think he is probably more competition for Romero and Dier, which isn't exactly a bad thing. I say bring him in if Conte wants him.

Can’t say I’ve noticed him doing that, but as others have said his wages will likely be a problem anyway.

I’m not saying he’s a saint by any means, just think he’s a bit of a pantomime villain for some on here and it’s slightly unwarranted.
Unfortunately I have to watch a lot of Chelsea games due to my husband being a supporter. You see it all the time. Digs in on people after ball has gone.
Uses his shoulder “a lot” especially from behind, niggly kicks on ankles, scuffing penalty spots and always in refs ear. Can’t stand him and once you see it you can’t stop seeing it, it’s the entire match. It’s insane refs don’t spot it.
Anyway we aren’t getting him and probably will be used as another stick to beat us with “didn’t join them because want to win things”, “would never join spurs because of Chelsea” etc.

How different is this to (fans favourite) Romero?

Similarly Lamela - as fans we seem to have an issue with another teams ‘shithouse’, but love our own.

Saw his name mentioned somewhere on here a couple of days so I’d like to back it up ..

Calvin Bassey 22 year old LB/LWB at Rangers.

Strong as an ox, good pace on him and can run for days. Decent cross as well. He’s on his second extra time game in the last 4 days, and he’s just run the entire length of the pitch to overlap Kent receive the ball and slide in a great ball across the box that has led to what will be the winning goal.

What’s more, it’s Rangers so I reckon he could be had for 15-20m tops

I feel Bergwijn and Moura are two players we could find buyers for relatively easily. If we could get Eriksen and Bale in to replace them then I think we'd have excellent options for the front 3.

I wonder if Gil is close to being ready to make an impact in the Prem.

I never liked Lamela doing shit like that. Rudiger took out De Bruyne in the CL final and hurt him bad on purpose. He is scum. He got Son sent off by steaming into the back of him and sneakily punching him too, which made Son react and get sent off. Some may like that but it’s not football. He does that stuff all the time as well as play acting and generally making football a shit sport.
