We are just far too predictable against the low block, and if we are going to play this possession based high press that needs to change. Deki will always cut back, Johnson will always go on the outside, our forwards don't vary their runs enough, and we make exactly the same changes every game.

Lots of work to do here, or the season is over.

Very tired looking team.
Son was absolutely spent tonight, kulu frustrated.
Skipp is not a player to bring when your chasing, would rather see donley
Agree with this, why have him on the bench if he’s not going to be used when chasing a game.

You could see it coming really. We all knew it deep down because we've seen it so many times, under different managers and with different players. If you batter a team such as West Ham like we did in the first half and don't go in at HT at least 2-0 up then there's trouble coming.

Unfortunately the more it happens, the more everyone else copies the blueprint. 10 men behind the ball, wait for the chances.

It’s the miserable luck that we’ve had and officials clearly showing bias to our opponents since the Liverpool game that has really frustrated me (and it’s iterative, because the refs allowing other teams to kick us around while blowing for any slight push we do is what led to players like Bentancur getting injured again). We could genuinely be title contending right now otherwise.

Couldn't see any way we lose to them. Confirmed by first half.

Another story of wasting too many final balls Johnson and Kulu chief culprits.
Richarlison simply had to score though. Score there and they have to come out and we can play around them.

Players starting to look scared and play safe which is not a great sign.

Chelsea will be loving the fact that that one game fucked us right over (again)

another good half of football but there are still some rough edges execution wise. the obvious one is the lack of incisiveness in the positional final third play. but what I really didn't like was that the team couldn't properly switch up the chip in transition defense a couple of times. we're dominating play yet West Ham has still looked threatening the few opportunities they got to possess the ball. problems like midfield not joining in on the press, players allowing runs into dangerous areas, full backs sitting too narrow when paired with the center backs allowing easy side to side balls leading to crossing opportunities being some of the most prominent.

as dominant as the team was, it doesn't feel like it is a controlled advantage. that's to be expected with a single goal cushion but you get the gist.
add total lack of composure and concentration for defining stretches of games.

I thought the fans demanded entertaining?

That wasn't entertaining (bar the first 30 odd minutes), I can go watch my kid play sideways passes all afternoon! No quick progressive passes, just safe back and forth.

If he was going to take GLC off, he should have put Kulu there who was ineffective on the right, and brought Bryan on. The next logical change is Sarr or Donley for Hojbjerg surely?

Incredibly frustrating. Paying for missed chances early on again. Unfortunately players looked a bit tired mentally and physically second half. Too easy for West Ham to defend in the end.

First goal was massively unlucky, second goal was the first major mistake Vicario has made IMO. Should have done much better.

Onwards and upwards.

Who’s responsible for letting Kane leave!!! Cut price too!! Ask yourself that. Fucking disgusting.
Kane presence wouldn't have helped without him moving from deep and create. The issues are with our fucking ineffective wingers who put zero balls in the first half, taking their fucking own sweet time with their preferred foot. Only when we were behind did they start to put in the balls in.

Need fucking forwards that are actual goalscorers

Can't rely on just son
Especially when Son doesn’t get a kick.
I can see Johnson, Richarlison, Kulu, Gio or anyone else getting close to 10 goals in a season. Most, barely even 5.
