Our pressing is so disjointed. We do press but not all in unison and sometimes stupidly.

So easy to by pass our midfield with a simple 1/2 combination it's like fifa on easy level

I think Conte's biggest mistake was thinking some of this lot were good enough for his team.

Hes a smart guy, he knows he fucked up. Trouble is he really cant do much until the window opens.
Conte basically said last year that the squad was not good enough in terms of quality then we sign new players and he pretty much puts out the same team as last year.

Is it weird that seemingly every time Conte was shown on the screen in first half, he was quiet? He is normally shouting out instructions all the time. Has he lost the team? Does he know there is nothing to say?

The reality is, I understand that Conte is the one paid the big bucks, he's done it in multiple leagues and I know he knows more than me but tactically things clearly need to be improved and if I was to improve one thing tactically right now, it'd be scoring more goals than the other team.
AND... teaching ravens to fly underwater of course!

Mourinho
Nuno
Conte

I haven't enjoyed watching us for years. Is it going to change?
I think we've been unwatchable for quite a long time. We were dreadful under Ramos, bright and fun under Redknapp, then bloody tedious under AVB, then fun but bonkers under Sherwood, then fun under Poch until Dembele fell to bits at which point we went to sh*t, then Mourinho stunk the place out, then NES stunk the place out, then Conte came in and stunk the place out, finished last season quite well and is now stinking the place out with performances that make NES' time look like 1972 Brazil.

Man, we are so shit right now. We just don't have a clue how to create. We are so slow to move the ball forward, we let them get 11 behind the ball and then they just wait for son, moura, PEH, or perisic to give to back to them. I really think Son is a huge problem, he's completely ineffective unless he has space to run into, and he just isn't getting that this season. Kulusevski can't come back soon enough, we have been shite ever since he was out of the team.

We’ll probably manage to finish 3rd and then have to face getting knocked out of the Europa League at the first hurdle while Arsenal go on to win the bloody thing.

Fun!!!!

It’s not as if we can play our promising youngsters either as we sent most of them out on loan.

Fortunate that so many other teams have been awful this season, making top 4 attainable with our poor form. That said, it’s going to hurt watching the goons finish above us
I'm just hoping we are still in the mix come the mid season transfer window.

Get a few quality players in at the back and we have half a chance.

Just a massive lack of pace, agility and technique in our back 5.

At this rate we’ll be getting knocked out of the Champions League… at least we won’t have fixture congestion that we’re incapable of even attempting to cope with.
My issue with all this talk of fixture congestion lowering the standard of performance - for my money we've been a bit crap all season. At least give us some scintillating football before getting knackered ?

Conte just now looked like a man with no answers....like he knows this is just not going to work. Would be surprised if he is still here when 2023 starts unless something changes soon.
He did. And he wasnt ranting from the sidelines either, not that I saw anyway.
I think he's either thinking I need the Jan window, or he's gonna have to have a rethink.
I dont think he'll be off. Not yet anyway.

Don’t know what others think but all the fuss about the players we bought in the summer and apart from Richarlison, and he is not as good as Kulu, they really aren’t very good. Perisic has a nice payday in his old age and I have no idea what he is doing in the side ever. The rest are nowhere to be seen

The idea that in a few transfer windows we will be great just doesn’t hold water. Bentancur and Kulu have been real finds but we sell better players than we buy … Edwards is just one example

So much crap in this squad that needs replacing.

It’s going to take a long time but we need to replace most of the players with technical players if we are going anywhere under Conte.

I think these players need to play in a pressing high system and try to win the ball higher up, because we haven’t got the talent to pass through the lines or around the back quickly or effectively enough.

My issue us when they have the ball we have so many in defence

We have both wingbacks level with the 3 Centre backs meaning they can easily play it around their defence and midfield

Why can't we have a block of 5 further up the pitch?

I feel that would really be pointless. How many managers do we have to see fail with the same players?! The best response to the way things are going is to finally fuck some of these players off and continue rebuilding.
Which same players?

Of Pochettino’s last squad, the only remaining players are: Lloris, Davies, Dier, Son, and Kane. Davies has been a bit-part player through most of that time, and Dier wasn’t starting for most of Mourinho’s second season.

I think it's clear that what Conte wants and is training the players to do is either flawed or inappropriate for our squad. It feels like the system and culture of playing is too predictable and doesn't play off our strengths. Does the quality of our center backs and wing backs really justify dropping a midfielder for a center back?

Crashing out of the CL would be disastrous to say the least.

Shows you how much this squad needs investing & how half of the summer business we did, was certainly not CL level attraction.
