Tottenham turns good coaches to shite
No. We choose the wrong coaches. The trophy brigade sang loud that we needed to win something at any cost! We ended up with Jose, Nuno and Conte. Are they happy now?

I'm still waiting for a and c/trix to laugh at me and tell me how great Conte is!

I hope we don't come out 2nd half and play like that again.... I just can't see how it's going to change

You can't tell me that new players will fix this.

And you can't tell me that this group of players can up the intensity....

Play with tempo ffs.

Conte has to address this immediately. Its gone on long enough now.

Up the tempo and actually get after the opponent...not tap it about at pedestrian pace.

None of the signings in the summer have improved us so not sure why a load more suddenly would in January. We look a shadow of the side from last season, until we get anywhere near those levels people are living in a fantasy world if they think signings will change things.

I don't care which positions they play in...but Conte really needs to sign someone...anyone...who can pass the ball with ANY sort of incisiveness

It feels like there isn't a creative bone in this squad outside of Harry
Do you not find it just a little concerning that, by all accounts (and obviously I don’t know for sure) we weren’t actually targeting anyone who can?

Sorry thats a pathetic excuse. As a manager you are paid to get the best out what you have. While doing that you get some players for your ideas. He got that, and we regress. Mentality, style of play, flexibility, creativity, solutions.... the coach has a huge influence in these points. Its just disappointing all the negativity in his game plans, line ups, substitutions etc. Why should the players feel different?
Fuck the players feelings tbh, most of them aren't good enough for this Club and are bloody lucky to be playing for Conte.

Conte has always struggled in Europe because his approach is to wait for bad teams to make errors and then exploit those errors with quick transitions and counter attacks. It doesn’t work in the UCL because the opposition are sufficiently well coached so as not to make errors. Certainly not when we’re so passive and back off as much as we did in that first half.

Who would you play in a back 2? Dier is no good in a 2, Davies neither, so Romero and Lenglet?
Can’t be any worse. Playing a back 3 forces the likes of Dier into a passing game which they’re no good at. Back 4, more in midfield, between the lines. Full backs can still push on. Hopefully more creative…

Just come out aggressive and look like you give a shit, that’s the least we should ask for

It's a tactical issue. If Conte continues to play with this, he's playing with fire. It's really not about us not having the players to do what he wants already. What he wants is not rocket science. Opponents esveywhere are nullifying us because we have been studied.

To continue playing with wingbacks will draw our LF and RF to the sides, Hojbjerg and Bentancur too, to support the wingbacks so we can retain possession there. When we lose the ball, we will be in deep shit, because the middle of the field will be so empty by then. Unless we vary our play to include creating from the middle as well, we can concretise our presence in the middle, leaving our wingbacks space to cross while not being caught on counters.

If we press them they will destroy us on the break.

We have zero pace at the back.
