"Lastly, Conte needs to go now"

We were 1-3 up.

See when someone says "FWIW, I'd like us to bring in Enrique" it's pretty much like saying "rinse and repeat".

When the penny finally drops that the likes of Dier, Sanchez, Davies, Sess, Pierre, Emerson, Tanganga and the rest of that sorry lot are rid then progress will never be made, whether that be under Poch, Nuno, Jose or Conte, Enrique or Jesus H Christ.

Conte is spot on, the players are never the issue, the weak among us blame tactics, systems and players that "don't fit" the circumstances.

Look at the trophy cabinets filled with trophies throughout Europe filled by Jose and Conte and convince me that they are at fault.

We are a club filled with weak, yellow livered players who are stealing a living.

At last we have a manger who tells it as it is.

I agree that the players are at fault too (which you conveniently avoided in my post). But Conte is not getting a new contract, so we may as well bring in the new manager now to assess what they need.

You'll get no argument from me that the players and Levy bear huge responsibility too.

So as far as Conte is concerned we need rid of Levy, The Board, Lloris, Kane, Son, Dier, PEH, Davies, Sanchez, Skipp, Moura, Tanganga, Sessegnon. These are the 'old' players. Presumably Mason and all the other staff that pre-date him at the club. All of these are comfortable, they are losers, they don't try hard, they can't obey his instructions

The end of the match wasn’t too dissimilar to last week. We’re leading 3-1 so decide to sit on what we have and rather than play to our strengths, we play to our weakness.

We got away with it last week; Forest score their penalty and we have a very nervy last few minutes. Lesson not learnt and we do the same thing yesterday. And the man who wants to blame everyone else is responsible for this.

Porro was very good wasn’t he?
Perisic looks shot because he can’t do the miles as a wing-back anymore in an ultra-defensive line-up. He still has the legs in a more attacking formation, his goal and some of his crosses demonstrate that. Emerson should have come on when Davies was injured.

I know things are proceeding rapidly in other threads but given how we let a two goal lead slip, only 62 pages?

A sure sign of the apathy that's setting in. Roll on next season. We can start with a clean slate, some new players, a new manager and all that stuff. That'll give us at least six apathy free months :D
I predict this thread petering-out at around 75 pages due to the utter apathy we all have for our club right now. When ordiniarily a draw-that-feels-like-a-defeat against the bottom club would probably get about 120+ pages.

Great minds. Seems I was about 10 pages too generous.

Dier comes across as a good lad but I'm starting to really dislike him for his on field errors. It's not like you can say its rare or occasional and forgive him it happens all the time because he simply isnt good enough.

He's a decent midtable PL player. That's it.

We should be aspiring for much much better

I can't imagine any top six side taking him if he became available. Good squad player but cover for injuries and suspensions only.

It’s a combination of Levy , Conte and the players , no one real reason . Conte has ended his tenure like I thought he would , all guns blazing , blaming everyone on the way out . The football this season has been unwatchable and the squad management awful . I’m pretty sure Jose was saying the same things before he was sacked so I don’t see much changing , the club is in a real mess , it’s just a shame we didn’t make a change a few weeks ago and could have had a manager bounce for the last 1/4 of the season but I’m thinking more 7th than 4th at the moment . Finally as much as I’m happy to see the end of Conte , I can’t have another season watching these losers next season , one thing I admire most about those scumbags down the road , they got rid of all their deadwood even if it meant giving them away , I want to see us doing the same this summer . Where we go from here ????
The trouble is Levy wouldn't think of giving away the deadwood he just wants to much money for them and to be honest I don't think we've had to many offers for most of them anyway. Lo Celso and Ndombele are prime examples although they are not in the current squad, nobody wants to sign them other than loans. Although I believe Villareal offered 20 mil for Lo celso but Levy turned it down.

No. We have a manager that sees his reputation going down the tubes and needs to blame everybody else without taking any responsibility himself. Yes the players let themselves and us down at the weekend with a shit performance but to me they looked like a scared no confidence side out there and the manager has to take some responsibility for that. There are some VERY good players and some GOOD players in that squad and we are not getting the best out if them. 3 or 4 top new signings and a change of style could do the trick. Virtually all of Conte's success has been in Italy where his style of play is best suited and to be honest if you manage any of the top 3 clubs there and you are a half decent manager you will win a trophy and before anyone points out his short reign at Chelsea remember he was sacked for finishing 5th and not making the CL. His style of play and methods don't fit the PL and if he stayed and added 3 or 4 ne players I believe the result would be the same. Anyway that isn't going to happen as he'll be gone for next season and with no CL which looks likely, so probably is Kane.
