I don't think it's been as bad as others are making out. This was never going to be a walk in the park against this lot. They are very well coached, but thus far they've lacked that quality cutting edge. I think we just need to be patient and our quality could shine though.

Tactically i'd switch Dier and Sanchez around and maybe we should consider Winks for Sissoko soon, their midfield is workmanlike but not particularly physically strong and Winks could help us to get out.

It's certainly better than the previous couple of league games, so that's something at least.

Toby for Dier (on a booking) and Foyth for Aurier (Foyth and Lo Celso linked up well on the right on Wednesday), please. Either Moura or Winks on later if things don't pick up.

We used to have a back 5 of Lloris, Walker, Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Rose all at their peak, with Dembele in front of them

Today we have a back 5 of Gazzaniga , Aurier, Sanchez, Dier, Davies with Sissoko infront of them

Funny old game innit. Sometimes life comes at you fast.
That may be so, but what's the excuse going forward then?

Our preparation going into games and how we conduct ourselves pre match leaves a lot to desired - this is more than a trend, it's endemic with this squad and management.

Speechless really about how poor we are now. Honestly don’t see a way out of this other than a change of manager.

We are awful. Can only hope something sparks us in the second half.

Really admire Sheffield United. Out of the three promoted teams I thought they were the weakest. They are like hull from ages back

Seems like every team we play in the league suddenly appears to have the best defence when playing us...surprise surprise

This is much better than Watford and Newcastle though. We're at least trying to compete out there thus far. We certainly can't be expecting to thump this lot 5-0.

I was happy with the line up but this was always going to be a really tough game. Those on the pitch need to up their game and match the effort of the Sheff Utd team and I'm sure we'll come out on top.

Just a real lack of any kind of confidence and a couple of wins against a shite RSB team isn't going to change that. Overcome this and I can see some light at the end of the tunnel.

The problem is transitioning the ball from defence to midfield to attack, definitely need a defender who can pass on and possibly Winks to keep the ball moving, not sure Alli for Lucas change would do anything, in fact it would probably make things worse.

Alli is doing nothing, and continuing to try and play through the middle is a waste of time with sheffield packing the centre. The best attacking moments we've had have been with son in wide areas. Get on another wide player, whether you want it to be sessegnon or Moura doesn't really matter.

Awful half, Dier is one foul away from us being down to ten men so I think needs to be subbed. Dele’s been woeful, I’d drag him off for either Winks (to give us more of a foothold) or Sess (to pose a greater threat down the left).

What Poch will do is probably, well, nothing, and we’ll continue to be shit until the hour mark where Dier picks up another booking. I don’t understand how we’re so incredibly shit in the league when we see what this team is capable of in Europe.
What 7-2 Bayern Munich

We need Ndombele deeper to break their high press with his passing. Right now all of our technical ability is in the other half, while Dier, Sanchez, Sissoko are stranded in possession under their press in our half. Basic fucking tactics.

Another way of putting this is that Sissoko is incapable of fulfilling the most basic function of a DM and defeating the first line of pressure.

At least though in attack we play with the intensity and desire that we usually show when we’re 1-0 down with 10 minutes to
Go against these sorts of team
