10 hour round trip and once again we were crap. We did create enough chances to win the game but our finishing let us down badly and our defending was comical at times. One thing I didn't understand was nDombele taking the corners (badly) after Lo Celso had whipped in some beauties in mid-week.

Because we have the third best squad in the league. It’s really quite simple. The problem is the manager isn’t getting anywhere near the best out of the players. How is it so difficult for you to see? Christ.

Chelsea are third with Tammy fucking Abraham upfront. Leicester are fourth with a 33 year old Vardy.

Poch is making Kane look like Andy Booth.

Is Poch not the reason our players are considered good? Poch hasn’t bought any superstars. He built that team that you consider to be the 3rd best. A lot of those players (not all) owe him for making them that good. That’s the sad thing, some of those players got carried away and started to believe they’re better than they are.

We are in an unfortunate position and it will be this way for a while. Poch has over achieved for so long his got you lot actually thinking we’re a top club. Poch will phase out the old guard and rebuild (if given the time he deserves). It won’t be all plain sailing I’m afraid kids. Can anyone actually suggest a suitable replacement? Man U, Arsenal and Liverpool are bigger clubs. Chelsea and Man City have more money. Our natural position is 6th. We’ve had a good run. We’ll have a good run again. We won’t always be able to maintain overachieving. This post will probably infuriate a lot of deluded people.
And this is why we will never be a “big club”, always an excuse. Whilst our fan base accepts anything more than mediocrity as “overachieving“ then we will never truly achieve.
we need winners from top to bottom, we were so nearly there 2 years ago. We have the infrastructure, we still have the majority of a good team, we just din‘t have the mentality.
To dare is to do, or so I was led to believe. There is absolutely no reason we cannot continue to be a top 4 club

It wasn’t toxic where I am, until the last ten minutes.

Sheffield United arguably the best side we’ve played at the new ground, domestically speaking anyway. Simple approach, worked hard for each and other and targeted our weak areas ( turning the tow centr halves every chance and targeting the full backs who were asleep all game with no protection ) Good management, makes a change to see at our ground!

Overall another poor performance though with an even worse result. Not sure where our next win is coming from. Unbelievable how far we’ve fallen over the last 12 months. Laughable really

This is the first real bad period under Poch in 6 years, you don’t think he is due at least another window to see whether he can he can turn us around? I also don’t think it is coincidence that the 18 months we don’t buy a player in just happens to coincide with us building one of most expensive football stadiums in the world. No one on here knows for certain what money Poch had available.

I for one am willing to give him some time, especially when there is no one I can see who would necessarily do better.
If nothing has changed in next few months then at least he has had his chance.

Most of the squad he uses were here before he was. They also look better for their international sides than for us. What explanation is there for Toby and Jan looking good for Belgium and shite for us other than poor coaching and terrible tactics?

Kane needs to buck his ideas up. I’m not sure he was even trying today. No effort whatsoever. I love the guy but he needs to look at himself after today.

Exactly, they were already here and he made them good.

Our best players now want to leave - Toby, Jan and Erikson.

Kane are Son are class, I’ll give you that.

Who else is a top top player?

Our midfield (before Ndombele arrived) is bloody Winks and Sissoko! How are they anywhere near top class?

Dier and Davis are average.

Moura, Lamela and Sanchez are decent but not top top class.

Poch bough the midfielders we needed this summer but they need time adapt.

He wasn’t backed to buy a player for 2 years. We went backwards because of this. He purchased players in the summer but they need time. He also has 3 of of our best players wanting to leave.

There was nearly a fight 3 rows from me about 35mins in to the 1st half. Was ridiculous. Lots of boos rang out at full time

Can we please have a “yawn” rating, believe the lazy press narrative and Poch’s excuses all you want, I loved the man, but his time is up.

Amuses me that a newly promoted team didn't even have to time waste to get a point off us at home.

United were fucking fantastic today. I didn't appreciate what a collective unit they are until I saw them in person. We could learn a lot from them.

There's a big difference between reasons and excuses. Any manager in world football would struggle with the circumstances he's had over the past 2 year, infact most would've crumbled a lot sooner and wouldn't have guided us to top 4 finishes and a CL final.
