If the likes of Son, Harry or Lucas are anywhere near the starting 11 against Morecambe I'll be royally fucked off. Two absolutely massive games next week.

They're 19th in League 1, if our squad players can't beat them just fucking release every single one of them.

--------------------Gollini--------------------
Doherty----Rodon----Dier----Davies----Reguilon
-----------Lo Celso------Winks--------------
Bergwijn--------------Kane--------------Gill

Subs: Austin, Sanchez, Tanganga, Emerson, Skipp, Ndombele, Alli, Son, Moura

I honestly don' think we can afford to rest everyone, as we risk repeating the Mura result. Kane could come off at 60 minutes if we're (hopefully) comfortable. Hopefully Dier will be back, however if not Sanchez can go ahead of him. I feel we have to start Doherty, as we just don't have anyone else. I know Rodon probably won't play, but I really hope he gets a chance.

No PEH in the squad for me as he has been way off the boil recently and needs a rest. Lo Celso has made more sub appearances than Ndombele, so I would like to see him start. I also think for this game we can afford to have a less defensive minded player like Lo Celso in the middle. I wanted to start Alli, but feel Gill would be more deserving of the minutes.

I'd go with our second 11 in a 352:

Gollini
Sanchez Rodon Tanganga
Doherty Hojbjerg Winks Ndoms Sessegnon
Bergwijn Gil
(Injuries and Covid dependent and front three to come off the bench if needs be).
Our first 11 for the next few crucial games would probably be 343:
Lloris
Romero Dier Davies
Royal Skipp Lo Celso Reguillon
Lucas Kane Son

Gollini.

Doherty
Tanganga
Rodon
Davies

Winks
White
Ndombele

Gil
Lo Celso
Alli

That would be my starting lineup personally. The only first teamer being Davies as there is nobody else to play there.

They are 19th in League 1 and we are at home. Surely this should be a walk in the park, even for our second string.

I'd like to see Gil and Gio get minutes, as well as maybe Markanday finally get a chance to shine (another brace the other day).
Apart from that, we just need to make sure we progress.

We can't trust an entire 11 changes- look what happened away in EL
Rotation sure- but not whole sale changes

The problem isn't individual ability - each player in our second 11 would wipe the floor with each player for Morecambe.

The problems are lack of motivation, lack of focus and, most importantly, lack of a balanced team that works together. We're only just now re-approaching the last in the first 11, after three years of mismanagement.

At least it isn't lack of fitness anymore.

Some players lack of effort and thinking themselves too good is a real problem.
They can't be trusted to do anything and it would be sackable in many other professions if they downed tools the way that they appear to have done.
Give some younger, fresher, keener, ambitious and people who just want it a chance; with a solid backbone to guide them.

I do fear they will indeed walk around the park. We need to transfer-list Hubris. He has been with us too long.

Dele and Doherty have had enough of chances to prove whether they are good enough for the first team and they’ve failed. I hope we don’t use them again.

This match is a good opportunity to play some of the youth players together with some senior players - Markanday, Lavinier, White, John, Devine, Paskotsi (maybe start with 2 or 3 of these youth players - I’m sure they will play with more gusto than Dele or Doherty).
