Of course it matters. He is a player who has had limited game time in 2014 and is our record signing. We will be greatly dependent on him to link up well with other potential starters, who still happen to be in the game.

Why does Holtby get to stay on but not lamela wahhhh

Pre season is about getting guys in form plus with a new coach figuring out what his players are all about.

I would venture to say Lamela is in form and has shown what he's all about. Holtby is likely a bigger question mark. Especially when Holtby's position isn't locked down either.
