can see why we hung on to Mason despite the injuries and poor loans...still has that early promise he showed

This ref seems to think every single slide tackle is a foul, but shoving someone in the back is totally kosher.

Lamela was the only player of ours that half who looked remotely threatening when going forward. The lack of end product in this squad is a serious concern. If Eriksen gets hurt, we are going to be in big trouble. It's imperative we buy a quality left wing forward who can cross the ball with both feet and shoot with power from distance, as well.

Haven't read through the comments, but being at the game.....it's humid as hell. Team looks sluggish because of it.

Not too enamoured with our attacking movement and play but our pressing is top notch. Worried we will end up like Southampton though and burn out at 60-70 mins when playing in proper games. Also Lamela looks a tier above any of our other players out there.

Am I alone with any of these views...?
I agree although Lamela's movement is not getting him in nearly enough good positions to hurt Chicago ... decision making needs a little tweaking, I'm starting to believe he/we needs a truly world class forward to get the best out of him like Totti

Mason really impressive that half , great control, excellent range of passing , plays with his head up a real nice surprise.

SpursTV should have got ESPSN to give us a "technical difficulties" screen with the colour bars when they showed the scum.

Ryan Mason was excellent that half. Won the ball so many times and switched play and made some great through passes. His career so far has been plagued by injuries but given good health I can see him being an important player for us this season.
