Just on train home from game. Not sure what to say really - we were just so poor. What confuses me is that we had a whole week to work on tactics for this game but looked clueless from the outset. The front four seemed to have zero service.

If I was being generous we did like getting back into the game slightly before the son sending off.

I did think Sanchez played well and also Ndombele when he came on but I can’t think of many other positives. JM has big job to do.
@dondo what part do you disagree with?

Another bad thing about this is that Mourinho said we wont be signing anyone in Jan!!!!!! YIKES!

Our central midfield is so fucking bad. It’s where games are won and lost yet we continue with Dier, Sissoko and winks.

Winks not playing is the problem imo, he's the only one that gets the ball forward to the forward players quickly. Dier just plays it backwards and sideways and Sissoko is more of a player who likes to run with the ball rather than somebody with an eye for a pass.

On a completely separate issue completely and apologies in advance for posting here, but I dont know where else to ask.

Has anyone got a copy of the very first Spurs Monthly magazine?? I was featured in it and when I left Ireland for the USA, it got lost.

All I want is a pic of the article along with the pic of me and Teddy Sheringham.

Thanks in advance

Sadly, I’m not at all surprised by the racism. I was in the Spurs end when we played Sunderland away in 2011 when a fucktard of a bloke counted out loud the amount of black players (used derogatory term) in the box for every corner up at our end. He was reported and didn’t appear for the second half.

Then in 2013 away at Swansea another **** two rows behind referred to Adebayor as a “black ****” about 20 times in the first half. Again reported, and again didn’t emerge for the second half.

Didn’t one of our fans get arrested for lobbing a banana skin at Aubameyang last year?

We have as many fucking wankers in our support as most other clubs.

Is Winks better than Ndombele?

But noone is saying we dont. Every club had them. The difference is how the club deals with it. If there was racial abuse I would assume evidence will reach us.

Our entire squad seems to have lost pace and stamina in the past year. This isn't new.
I can't believe how slow some of them look at times. We have no one that can beat a man and speed past them 1v1 except Son and sometimes Lucas.

That year we didn't buy anyone might be to blame as well.

That was about as grim a game as we've seen in a long while. Maybe along with Brighton away recently. With the compounding issues of racism from the terraces and that the players lost their heads in a completely self-defeating way. Gazzaniga should have seen red and it would've done us a favour - it's rare to see a pro player misread a play so badly. And Son was petulant and stupid and it wasn't his first time. He needs to learn the Kane/HAzard trick of treating all fouls as a token of respect and fear by the opponent, rather than lash out (even in this half-hearted silly way).

The bigger concern though is with ripping up the Poch blueprint and trying to be ultra pragmatic. Players constantly moaning rather than affecting the play while in possession. Essentially downgrading possession play to work on longer balls and counter attacking footy. You need a bit of everything, but we'll end up worse off against the better sides if we don't improve our possession play.

Lampard had our number today in every possible way. Big win for them and it wasn't even close.

What on earth are you on about? Have you seen Winks play before? Getting the ball upto the forwards quickly is exactly what Winks doesn't do. That is why he's benched, because he is neither good enough going forward to build play or defensively.

People need to realise that we do not have the answer in our squad. Winks, Dier and Sissoko, none of them are good enough to play CM for us going forward. We need to build our CM around Ndombele and we need to sign a top DM.

I am sure Mourinho knows we need a DM. Subbing Dier twice at halftime or before in his first month as Spurs boss suggests he thinks Dier is playing like shit. I would be gobsmacked if a new DM isn't top of his priority list in the transfer windows. Ultimately Jose can't polish a turd, and we have three turds in CM currently and Ndombele has been injured.

I have to say I feel some of this is down to Poch, who clearly thought Winks was the main man in CM for him, and that we didn't need to sign a DM. Winks was clearly not good enough but the window is shut and the only DM we have is Dier who is gash. Jose is fucked really and so are we until we sign a new DM and we need to keep Ndombele fit.

There are no racist clubs, but unfortunately plenty of racist supporters wherever you look. It would be nice to imagine our club is different, but we can't after today, and nor will the media. The club will now be judged on how quickly and publicly they bring to account any guilty parties.

I thought the key was NDombele not being able to start,it would have given us a better flow for sure but maybe they thought he wouldn't be 100%

For me it’s always been mentality. We have far to many players used to failure . Poch said we needed to be brave called for players to leave behind the scenes and for Levy to finally back him on first choice options.

Depressing times ahead Mourinho will revert to being passive and the games moved on
Levy never backs managers. He is averse to spending on the football side. Anyone thinking things will be different with the stadium is fooling themselves.

Well, that performance was a great big pile of shit stained underwear was’nt it.

Sissoko and perhaps Sanchez are the only players that earned their pay today, the other starters should all be docked a weeks wages for that non performance.
