Some perspective - Romero off is a kick in the nuts, Udogie got lucky-ish, the biggest dent in our game though has been down to injuries. I'd have been okay with Dier + VDV at the back.

Yeah, we had a few unprofessional moments but losing VDV & Madders has really knackered us most of all.

Micheal Owen saying Romero trying to do him, Hoddle saying it was a yellow
Lol, Curtis Jones did that, and much worse, and people and pundits were all defending him. Romero cleared the ball totally before meeting the shin and he was trying to do him. Can't make this up.

Havertz could have been sent off 3 times with those lunges then.

Worst part about this is we were tearing them to pieces than the players all just lose their heads. Then injuries set in
Yup. The lack of discipline was astounding. What were they thinking?

So disappointing- a lack of onfield leadership.

This could really fuck us. The red, a there game ban for Romero and the very unlucky injuries.

I hate to say it, but with some tough games coming up, it could shape our season - and not in a good way

Romero is a cock. Got away with a petulant kick. Nope. That’s not enough. He must make sure he leads an implosion. How to Undo all the prev good work.

How to loose control of a football game by Michael Oliver.
Said the same and got neg’d for it. Oliver has had a big hand in the way this game has played out. We’ve played our part of course.

If we keep playing our defensive line on half way, it’s only a matter of time until Sterling finally isn’t offside. Got to think at least a bit sensibly here.

I think we started to get feisty as a result of the ref letting the game "flow" / playing advantage when there wasn't any 5-6 times from obvious and intentional Chelsea fouls. It's a lack of experience and composure from us though. The Udogie incident should have been a warning to calm down, but we did the opposite.

What I really don't understand is why Chelsea have become more feisty since Romero was sent off. Surely they should just keep calm and try to make the most of the 11 vs. 10 advantage. Rather frustrating that James and Sterling both got away without yellows simply because VAR reviews can award / rule out a red card but not give a booking, as they should both be on the brink of a red now.
(Romero should have been booked for his "petulant" kick, but was sent off minutes later anyway).

Romero looked like he wanted the red in that half. Wonder if he had a few quid on himself 😂
