We can't expect the high intensity if we don't shuffle the squad in a period when we have so many games coming up

If it is the case I'm not sure why he doesn't start Celso. I reckon this will be another game he doesn't even come on as a sub.
Yeah, especially at home against Bournemouth in a game where you have plenty of defensive cover.

But this was kind of Joses M.O. in his last gig I guess.

Would have liked Lo Celso but understand Sissoko/Aurier purely from a language perspective. Think the whole language thing could be holding Lo Celso back a bit.

Whilst i'm also disappointed GLC isn't starting over Sissoko. We need to trust the management and GLC might still be lacking fitness. We have a lot of games coming up and we need to use our squad. I hope he gets at least 25 minutes today and could possibly start against United. This was one of the problems with Poch, he didn't use the squad well. Let's embrace it and hopefully get the win today. Great to see Ndombele in there. Excited to see how he does with our new found confidence going forward.

Sissoko isn't a right winger though, he'll be tucked in with Aurier overlapping. I'd love to see Lo Celso in that roile but it seems more cautious to go with the experienced Sissoko for now. Great to see Ndombele start as well. Essentially will become a 3 in centre midfield with, Dier, Ndombele and Sissoko.

Was expecting Vertonghen to start left back tucked in so looking forward to see how he does there. Shame Sess isn't on the bench though.

Really hope it's 433.

And I also really hope GLC gets some minutes today.

Good point unfortunately, but in that case i would still play Lo Celso and Foyth :sneaky:

My guess after what he said about Aurier being best going forward, is that Jose is thinking defensive left back in Vertonghen, with Son attacking, and then attacking right back in Aurier, with a defensive Sissoko covering.

Looking to get about them physically. Control the game I guess and then play as we'd like.

New managers are always a little wary of the the previous managers latest "buys". Lo Celso might have more to prove to Mourinho before he gets his chance.

We don't need Sissoko covering if Dier and Ndombele don't aren't going to get ahead of the ball.

Ndombele must be playing higher up the pitch in possession than Winks was.
