Every other team seems to have a manager who really wants to be there. Not us, we have had a succession of managers who just whinge and snipe. I am sick of it. All Conte does is talk us down. We have enough critics, we don’t need our manager to join them.

For me , it’s not rocket science. With good players missing we struggle to create the high level of performance that’s been set and expected. When we are weaken as a side , we need to consolidate our game with effort which was lacking against Villa.

Be honest, even when we have our good players playing, how many actual high level of performances of 90 minutes (or even 60 minutes) have we actually seen this season?

I agree. The drop off in quality when we're missing Kulu and Bentancur is huge. Add Richarlison into that as well.
And at the end of the day Villa did absolutely fk all until Lloris dropped a total clanger.
No amount of coaching can allow for a player dropping a total bollock like that.
I think we have to be patient. To be honest we sound like Arsenal fans from last few seasons. They stuck through it and are reaping the benefits.
We want everything straight away and we just dont have the budget for that to happen.

I completely agree but we have to admit the game was dispiriting from the moment Kulu was ruled out. Lloris dropping a clanger really sucked the life out of the team.

Doesn't help that the atsmosphere is poisonous. The reaction to Emerson coming on was totally out of order. Makes me ashamed of our fan base. Which is doubly dispiriting.

Talking about that budget, its not that bad you know. You will find articles if you google and they show

''it’s not as if the club have refused to add quality to their depths or have been stingy with their spending and so Conte must take some responsibility if he wants the team to improve.''

The 'its all Levy and the board' brigade continue to defy/deny facts.

Of course there are still areas we need/needed to improve but we the squad isnt as bad as the performances and results.

Yeah I agree to an extent. We do spend big money, 60m on Richarlison for example, however we can only do it on one player per window and if that player, like Ndombele and LoCelso for example, doesn't work out then it proper screws us. We cant go and get 3 or 4 top players in in one window.
I also think that even now we're still feeling the damage done by those 2 transferless windows. That was complete and utter incompetence never to be repeated by anybody anywhere. Another Spurs first :(

An unprecedented season with the WC interruption and injuries hasn’t helped. We were playing with confidence and with purpose at the end of last season - this hasn’t carried on this. Why-we can only guess.. With Conte’s uncertainty, this has added to putting us offline. It will come good if Conte commits -a new signing or two and players returning.

Agree- it is what it is- We need to get behind the team and fingers crossed. If Arsenal were to have the same level of injuries as we are having (as they had last season) they will drop points.

I honestly think Southampton might be the only one. *Maybe* Leicester but we were pretty shocking for a while in that.

The World Cup hasn’t seemed to affect the Brentfords and Villas as much.
I agree that Conte not committing may have an effect but that’s no excuse for the lack of desire that we have seen from the team until we go behind (even that was absent against villa)

There’s is no excuse -they are professional players who get paid a large amount of money to kick a ball around.
However, If players believe Conti is leaving- They may not be as motivated as last season. Conte worked wonders last season because players believed in him. Also the media from day one has suggested he will leave and this gets in peoples heads.
Some players are just top draw (the finish article) - some need motivating and nursing along. I feel Conte has done as much as he can do and probably needs motivating himself
