I don't think Keane is a bad player I must have you know but he is soooooo overrated by some on here he wouldn't get anywhere near Arsenal's, Man u's or Chelsea's team. Good top six player but no more. AND he's a pussy 'ole

Funny that, that when you look at other forums, they always say that Berbatov and Keane are the biggest danger. I'm sorry, you don't score that number of goals without being a really good goalscorer - not to mention leading International goalscorer for his country.

And if we're going to state things correctly, I'd say people outside of the our Spurs bubble rate Keane higher than we do.

But yeh, facts vs. opinion - it's all good. The SC way, of course.

Stoof, Sloth & Yanno.

Stoof - You were the widest of the mark in terms of rating performances last night I'm afraid. I only counted about 2 far post headers by Tainio and one went straight to their bloke (which wouldn't have if he'd left it). He was skanked several times and gave the ball away several other. I think this is why Ramos brought Jenas on eventually because tainio was struggling. Compare this with Zokora's performance - which was pretty steady - he didn't give the ball away much at all, made some good tackles at important times and on a night where many were "saving it for sunday" he didn't. As I said in my ratings, he was probably the most competant performer (certainly for 70 mins).

Yanno - I don't share your soft spot fo Tainio - never have - I just think he's a decent if slightly limited player, definately good enough for our squad but no more.

but

Sloth - here's the rub. Against a very top drawer oponent (or a tough game) He can definately be more effective sitting next to Jenas than Huddlestone for example or even Zokora. As he can do that niggling play breaking, busy **** job allowing Jenas to attack.

Whilst never really understanding why everyone loves Tainio so much, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Ramos use him on Sunday as it will be just that type of game. And I won't grumble too much either.

I don't really disagree. I certainly won't grumble if he's given the nod. He's a very good CM, if not quite as good as some seem to think. But then for me DZs a lot better than others give him credit for, if also clearly lacking in some areas.

Right or wrong I think Ramos will probably play DZ and JJ as CM.

It's a really tough one to call isn't it ? It wold be just like Ramos to surprise us all and play a proper 451 with Jenas, Huddlestone & Zokora wouldn't it.

No I'm sorry. He really didn't. He was anything but steady. Repeatedly didn't chase back - I counted at least 6 times he lost the ball and showed zero effort or want to try and chase it down.

This was in front of my very eyes - and I want the bloke to do well. Willing him on I was. But he's just not a midfielder, mate. He really isn't.

You counted wrong with Tainio as well. I can count 2 within a space of 3 second half minutes. But you'll just say I'm wrong - despite being virtually in front of it. So, meh, is there a point really?

You like Zokora, I want to. But can't - and I find it hard to accept that people thought he was anything but less-than-average last night - because he didn't perform his tasks to the appropriate standard in my book. And he certainly wasn't our best performer - not by a long shot.

Bus-Conductor, I love you. You are the only person on here who is harder(but true) on Kenae than me. It's like that story of the kings new clothes. Are we the only ones who see what a faker he can be?
I wish we had a team of fakers, stop bitching, grow up, move on, or go and support Portsmouth

If King and Woodgate both play then we must play Huddlestone beside Jenas,Wembley is a big pitch and he can destroy Chelsea with his range of passing.I have been critical of the lads mobility in the past but I have been impressed by his movement since Ramos has come in and I now believe he will become a massive player for us.

Robinson 7 - two decent saves
Tainio 6 - fought hard, but this is the most boring game for TT for a long time, ok in defending and no attacks, thanks to Lennon display !!
Chimbonda 6 - tried his best, but in the same attemp for Slavi to score their goal in counter attack, i know he could be fault by a player but why he went to right side instead a return to his own position ? it's not the first time he is doing something like this. Not O'Hara fault at all !
Kaboul 6 - ok
Woodgate 7 - did his job
Zokora/Huddlestone Both 6 - they failed to dominate the middle for us, not just in 2nd half, that's was clear even in 1st half.
O'Hara 7 - not good show in 2nd half, but played very good 1st half, some good decisions and football there.
Lennon 5 - not good game Lenny at all. Hope you will back with strong pefromance in Wembley in order to win !
Bent 6.5 - tried his best
Berbatov/Keane both 6 - both needed more than 45 mins but i think they were rested for CC final.

Malbranque 6 - nothing
Jenas 6.5 - ok'

Rmoas 5 - can't fault his team selection due to our next important game, but i was unhappy at all with his changes in 2nd half, i was hoping to see a tactical changes to play better, not getting a boring draw at the Lane, it should be like in later stages of the game to stop Slavia playing better:

Robinson
....... Kaboul ... Huddlestone ... Woodgate ........
Jenas .............................................. O'Hara
....... Tainio .... Zokora .... Malbranque ........
Keane .... Bent

cheers

I suspect you are mistaking me for one of the blindly biased spurs faithful who either loves or hates a player. All my mates think Keane is shit and don't understand how he's done so well this season. I happen to think he is pretty good. But I think you undoubtedly overrate him. Think of how many goals he COULD have scored this season. Hit the bar criminally away at scum, missed that penalty, missed another one the next game, failed to get any contact on that bread and butter cross from 2 yards against Reading... these are the ones which spring immediately to mind. I love the debates on this forum and you're opinion is just as valid as mine. Im just trying to give reasons for why some of us on here don't think Keane is "all that". He misses too many sitters. Anyway if he scores tomorow I will buy you a drink after the game.... COME ON YOU SPUURRRS!!!
