We're 3 points off 3rd place. That was our 47th game of the season so far, more than any other team. It's Poch's first season in charge and I'm more than happy. I was expecting a mid table finish but to be 3 points off fourth having played most of our games against the other top 6 sides is remarkable really. Sure we may end up 6th or 7th, but whatever happens it's been a good effort this season.

I can't find any reason to complain, but yes, others will find plenty of reasons to complain.

Goughie you may revel when we are on the up, but a Spur's supporter who says he "can't find a reason to complain' sets off too many alarm bells, sorry.... Don't be a two faced hypocrite now.

Have, or have you not said the below remarks word for word, this season:
"
Can someone explain how this shit group of players managed to get 69 points (3 less than our record amount) and finish 6th last season and inside 11 games drop to this level? We spent £100 million and were playing a team that included the likes of Walters, Sidwell and N'Zonzi. Stoke also lost 2 players to injury in the first 30 minutes.

I just don't understand how we go from 6th in May to where we are now in 11 games..... (I thought you were expecting us to be mid table??)

Poch to Adebayor - "stroll around for 90 minutes, don't run fella cos you have the malaria and that upset tummy won't get better if you over exert yourself. And none of that shooting at goal business, I won't stand for it. Take it nice and slow and you'll be firing on all cylinders come the ANC.

You know times are bad when Steve Sidwell and Mark Walters are running rings around us, dear oh dear...(I thought you never find a reason to complain?)

Rose has been an accident waiting to happen all night

Nice back heel from Ade, so that's what you get for £100k a week

Is Rose going to have one of those games

no one's mentioned Rose yet. I'm surprised Davies hasn't got a game tonight. Rose makes too many mistakes. He cost us a penalty at Liverpool and flicked on a great header on Sunday for Chelsea's opening goal.

Stop making excuses for them. Tired because they have to fly for 2 hours to Italy first class. Fuck sake, no wonder the game has gone to shit when there's fans like you that actually think this.

These players got 69 points and finished 6th last season. At the moment they look like finishing 6th bottom. So what's the reason then? The only difference is the manager

Sorry I didn't spot that Walker, Kane and Townsend start this game. I thought they just came on...

(Europa League) This is one tournament I'm glad we're out of.

SCer quote: Townsend's touch is awful. Hold the ball up there. Dont give it away and start them on the counter. Ugh.

your reply: So is Chadli's

scer quote: This competition suddenly becomes very winnable if Chelsea and City go
your reply: not by us

Imagine paying £50 to sit and watch it for 90 minutes.
"

Well need I go any further?

This kind of makes all your positive rep points all the more silly now. Do people respect you for remaining calm and placid whilst others go around ravaging the forum with unnecessary complaints hither tither???

God help me!

To complain, by the way; is to "express dissatisfaction or annoyance about a state of affairs".

Not a great game of football but a great result. I think QPR will (rightfully) feel a little hard done by. The penalty could very easily have been given for Hugo's save and also for the Nabil handball - I don't think either were but have seen them given - particularly to the home team.

QPR were very physical and Zamora in particular was a real bully. I thought Nabil's yellow for the late challenge on Henry was silly but I think it was his way of not being bullied and was good to see from that point of view.

All in all I'm very pleased with the points. Onward and upward.

United is huge. Beat them and we are level on points. Lose and CL dream is all but over.

I'm just pleased we did what we needed to do and we go into the Utd game within touching distance. It means the pressure is on them.

United have the hardest run in (Us. Liverpool, City and Chelsea, plus maybe FA Cup duties) and you can only hope their luck will run out. If they drew with Newcastle like you would have thought was more than fair to them, then we wouldn't have their goal difference to separate us should we win come Sunday.

If we lose we will be 6 points behind them and a massive goal difference. We will also possibly be 4 points behind Liverpool with massive goal difference. It would not be impossible to overtake both in the final 9 games but very very difficult. Hence the "all but over".

my qpr mate is saying they should have had a couple of penalties and the ref was our best player. Amazing how in 80% of games the ref has a nightmare and is biased against BOTH teams

I would like to hit him with a stick. He slows down every single attacking move. He always stops and pirouettes, passes sideways or backwards. He loses possession. He doesn't shoot. He doesn't score.

Can't really say i agree with this. He came on retained possession most of the time and got a few free kicks (also i may add coming on as a sub in a gritty away game is hardly the easiest thing). In the first half we didn't retain possession in the final third at all and Chadli was non existent. I think the team looks way more balance with Dembele in front of our two young CM's adding strength and hold up play. With Eriksen from the left. But everyone see's football differently.
