What is going on with Walker at the moment? He is making about 5 terrible decisions per match, and at some point they will cost us big time. When he tried to head the ball back to Lloris and nearly let Austin score as a result, Lloris looked like he might step out and lamp him.

Our defending really really is worrying and I am not sure if it is the result of us lacking a bit of cover from the CM or if it is the defence just being a bit shit.

Nevertheless great result this weekend, we now just have to make it count by beating Utd next week.

Ehm, Walker has always been brainfart-prone, it's just how he is. No cover from midfield would fix that. IMO we need a new RB in the next few windows if we're to push on even further.

Edit: would like to see us try the oh so popular 3-5-2/5-3-2 formation, then walker could be the RWB the 3 cb's would cover. Feel we have the players for it aswell.

Verts, Fazio, Dier.
Walker/rose wingbacks.
Mason/bentaleb/dembele even eriksen or lamela perhaps for the 3 midfield positions.
Eriksen/Lamela or Chadli supporting Kane.

He was talking about the season as a whole
And maybe he has nothing to complain about at the moment. Doesn't mean wasn't right to complain earlier in season, especially with our form. And again, I don't recall him saying he never complains.

Re Walker, I'm going to go out on a limb & support him a bit here as he's played a lot of football since returning from a very serious injury & he had no pre season etc.
I think his performances should pick up now we've only got one game a week & more time on the training pitch etc.
Maybe I'm being optimistic but I'm expecting big improvements from him next season after a full pre season & hopefully with Yedlin (or someone else) providing some competition/rotation.

Walker always had a mistake or two in him, I think quite a few of our defenders have been guilty of that in the past too. The only real mistake that pissed me off with Walker was the back pass at Anfield a few years ago. He never gives up though and puts in a shift which MP likes about him
