When you look at the quality of some of the teams left in this tournament it is ridiculous that it is so undervalued. It would be fantastic to go to some of those match-ups both home and away.

UEFA really need to pull their fingers out of their collective arses and do something to raise it's profile.

They should offer the winner a CL spot.

Below are the teams qualified for round of 32 - we can face any of those not crossed out (I have worked out who I think will be seeded of the teams coming in from CL)

Group winners (seeded) :
Liverpool FC, FC Viktoria Plzeň, Fenerbahçe SK, FC Girondins de Bordeaux, FC Steaua Bucureşti, FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, KRC Genk, FC Rubin Kazan, Olympique Lyonnais, S.S. Lazio, FC Metalist Kharkiv, Hannover 96.

Runners-up (unseeded) :
FC Anji Makhachkala, Club Atlético de Madrid, VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach, Newcastle United FC, VfB Stuttgart, SSC Napoli, FC Basel 1893, FC Internazionale Milano, AC Sparta Praha, Tottenham Hotspur FC, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Levante UD.

Transferred from the UEFA Champions League :
Chelsea FC (120 - seeded) , SL Benfica (85 - seeded), FC Dynamo Kyiv (67 - seeded), FC Zenit St Petersburg (66 - seeded
CFR 1907 Cluj, Olympiacos FC (57) , , AFC Ajax, FC (62) BATE Borisov.
(seedings to be confirmed in due course)

Draw procedure :There will be two pots for the round of 32 draw: the 12 group winners and the four best third-ranked teams in the UEFA Champions League group stage will be drawn against the 12 group runners-up and the remaining third-placed UEFA Champions League sides.

In the games on 14 and 21 February, no team can play a club from their group or a side from the same association.

The draw for the round of 16 will take place on the same day

(NB I have taken the UEFA co-efficient to seed the teams coming from CL - depends) on UEFA defginition of 'the four best third-ranked teams in the UEFA Champions League group stage' as to whether this is correct)

could have saved yourself some time and read the op ..

We're still nowhere near firing on all cylinders in this, or domestically.

I believe AVB has instilled a shift of attitude towards this competition, and firmly expect us to have a proper dart at this. Don't see any reason why we can't go all the way.

Bloody glad we finished runner up now looking at the teams we avoid! Inter Milan, Athletico Madrid, Anji , Leverkusen, Ajax and Napoli are all scary teams.

I think the three I want to avoid most are the CL drop outs - especially Zenit St Petersburg.

we can't play zenit, they're unseeded with us.

This is going to be really tough to win, don't want Benfica or any of the Russian/former Russian teams

Few toughies but we are good enough to beat any of those. Much harder teams in the other group
