The #Napoli is very close to #Nbombele. Dry loan with important contribution from #Tottenham on the salary, there is great optimism between the parties. He would replace #Fabian in the squad.

What does dry loan mean? It’s a joke that they sell a player for money then we loan then someone yet have to pay part his wages

The only player I have ever been more excited about selling than any incoming signing we could make. Possibly the only spurs player I have ever hated.

The manager identified a player he wanted and you think Levy should have over ruled it thinking he knows better.

Isn’t this the exact kind of thing he often gets criticised for? It seems we want Levy to stay away from footballing decisions unless it doesn’t work out in hindsight.
I didn’t say that - I said the club would have known his history and made an assessment. We bought him

I am saying there were previous issues in his career that the club would have known about

I wonder where Fabian Ruiz is going...

I have a feeling this one might come off. Of all the clubs linked Napoli are one that I could actually see paying us a suitable amount (even if just a shop window loan). Even more with Ruiz leaving.

I listened to a Tottenham space earlier, and the host, who's an Italian, said he was in a Napoli space and one of their prominent ITKs said the deal is quite close.?

Ah, yes. But what you said or I said, does not matter once someone else ascribes a different intent to what was conveyed!! Such is the fun n games on SC sometimes. ? Once that is done, it cannot be undone. That is the way!!

I like this potential move to Napoli and working with Spalletti.

Good news and a big chunk of salary off the books if true. Him and Lo Celso off well ahead of deadline day shows the club is being ruthless.

I’m like a broken record on this, sorry, but there is no advantage to the selling club to have a buy option that kicks in after a loan. That is only a perk for the (potentially) buying club, who will cash in at that price if the loanee exceeds expectations (eg if Rodon has a superb season at Rennes and is considered then a £50m player) in which case the selling club are getting bad value. If there is no buy option, the club on which the player is on loan can still bid any price - it’s only that the loaning club retains its power to consider any bid on its merits. This is also why buyout clauses are often astronomical in Spain for eg.; to not weaken the hand of the club who might receive a bid. A loan with an obligation (which is really just a sale + an accounting trick) or a loan that automatically kicks in if certain conditions are met, is a different kettle of fish entirely - and can be very good from either a selling or buying club perspective.

If Napoli reach top4, Ndombele loan becomes obligation. 3m loan fee + 13m transfer I will take this. If he gets sold, we save 2 years of wages & 1 year wages recouped.
