Especially happy to see him get some good minutes against a better midfield today. In Macedonia and against Newcastle he was playing against easier opposition, today he was playing in the kind of game we're going to need him to really deliver in, and he did. He was resistant to a much better press

He’s like our secret weapon as the opinion of most non spurs fans seems to be he is a flop. He is potentially one of top 3 midfielders in the league.

Proper player, fantastic to see the turnaround in application and getting the fitness levels to where they need to be...scary thing is he has another few levels to go up.

Good lad Tanguy.

You can see from that his first thought is to go forward, where the bloody goal is.
This is what Winks should be striving to do not just keep possesion. Dont wanna go Winks bashing as he did thread a few good balls through last match but just keeping the ball isnt good enough. You're either a creative midfielder or defensive and he sure as shit aint defensive. Thing is I think Winks actually can do it, its just safer and easier not to.
With Ndombele its a quick transition as well. Not 3 or 4 touches, ponder, and then go backwards or sideways. Turn, bang, forward. You cant catch teams out of position and make them make errors if it takes you 20mins to get in their half.
I think he'll be fine now and just get better I really do.
Teams will start sitting deep against us as they'll know we're not gonna wait until they have 11 men behind the ball anymore.
About fkin time.

The prospect of him linking up with Reguilon down the left or playing through balls to Sonny and Bale is quite mouth watering. Him and LoCelso making time and space for each other will be very hard to play against. He's put a load of miles on the clock this week and come through it unscathed which must have done his confidence a power of good. So relieved to see the player we believed we were buying, who is quite phenominal. A sign of things to come.

He's starting to take off.

In two months time, if all goes to plan, opposition fans are going to be looking at our first XI and say "How did Spurs manage to put together a world class team, without anyone noticing"

Don’t wish to be negative but I wasn’t as impressed as others. Yes he’s improving but for £60m I want to see him run games like Modric did. He deserves a run in the side and his attitude has changed but let’s not get carried away.

You’re entitled to think that.

I’d suggest that midfielders always take a touch longer to fully bloom and that Modric was about 6 months older than Ndombele currently is, and halfway into his second season for us having been in the first team constantly, when he started turning into the player we know him to be. Until that point he flitted in and out of matches, struggled with the physicality and pace of this league, and played it safe constantly.

Ndombele is doing just fine right now.

How long did take Modrić to do that? It was like his third season, first season he played off the striker, then off the left and missed a lot of the season through injury. Give him time. It also took Dembele til his third season to start that dominance we all remember.

As one of the people criticizing and wanting him sold the most lately, I feel he's been really good these last two games and if he continues to apply himself this way going forward then I'll gladly still have him in the team. Go Tanguy!

Well I hope you’re right but so far I’ve seen nothing to suggest he’s of that level. Hope I’m wrong

He’s doing ok, no more than that. He didn’t pay £60m or put a price tag on his head, my point is for that money by now I’m expecting a little more. By Christmas he may be the player we all want him to be

The thing that sets him aside is the speed of thought and execution of passes. It would usually take any player quite a while to get to know the players around him and their habits to develop that kind of understanding, but Ndombele does it completely naturally even when he's had no time on the pitch with them. His first time passes and 'eye of a needle' balls are really something special, especially considering where he is in his career with us. It's all just pure, natural talent.
