Was it him that was supposed to have tracked Harry Wilson for what should have been a goal at the end?

I don't rate his 2nd half performance just now (vs Bournemouth) and I can see why Jose keeps him on the bench.
He doesn't look sharp enough and lacks intensity; to the point where I don't feel he could hold onto the ball for long enough to do something with it. He clearly has the ability to pick a pass, but I think PL as it stands is too fast/much for him.
I'm unsure if he would improve. We've seen gifted players who aren't intense enough for PL before.
You just need to look at Lo Celso to see the difference..it's big, not even close.

Lo Celso has no goals or assists in the league, he can be as intense as he wants but in terms of raw ability he isn't a patch on Ndombele.

That being said I feel pairing them together will help them both. Tanguy was arguably our best player today (not difficult in fairness) he tries to put us on the front foot by playing the early ball.

He showed more in 45 minutes that Winks and Sissoko have shown since the restart of football.

Simply put i would play him as much as possible for the remainder of the season next to Gio, get them to forge an understanding and build from there.

From what I saw today there's no reason he shouldn't start every game for the rest of the season, even if he only plays 45-60 min. Infinitely more talented than any midfielder (or honestly, any player) we have.

EDIT: As a poster above me said, he also put in a shift today too.

He actually passes the ball forward quickly and with purpose. That's all it currently takes to be a standout performer in our team.

I don’t care what the results are for the rest of the season we have a choice to make

it’s either 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3

If it’s the first option the midfield is

(6) Sissoko (8) Gio

Bergwijn N’Dombele Son

Kane

If it’s the second option then

It’s

Sissoko (6) - told to not move over the half way line and just cover the defence

then Gio as the box to box centre mid thst brings the ball out and N’dombele as the playmaker

I have added Ndombele into the sell list now. It’s not because he was effective/ ineffective when he came on...

It’s because in a game that had 243 stoppages and breaks, Ndombele gasping for air after 90 minutes let alone after 12 minutes of injury time

I hope it's just conditioning. I want him to succeed here. But to me at least, the game was too fast for him.
He has had enough time to adjust.
I'm not saying I want him out. Given his price we can wait longer. But the signs aren't positive enough for me.
Everyone played mediocre today so comparisons to Son or Kane doesn't mean much.
Also bear in mind that his legs should be fitter because he played less mins. For example Aurier, despite the poor quality of his final ball, looks shaper and this is a guy who played constantly since the re-start.
Spot on. The lad has serious ability but I just can't see him playing week in week out in the Premier League. I think he would be better off in a different league where the intensity is not as high.

We can agree to disagree. I see from that 2nd half someone who can pick a pass but who can't withstand Bournemouth's pressure. His average position in the game is going deeper and deeper; i don't know if it's because no one else can move the ball forwards, but my impression (and this is just that) is that he feels less pressure doing so, but that's exactly what the opposition wants you to do.

I feel that he is a smart guy who wants to do the easy thing. I don't think this is a good quality. I much rather him be like Lamela or Moura; they lose the ball a lot too, but they never shy from trying to carry the ball forwards and confront challenges.

Wasn’t incredible or anything but you can see what he’s about, if we are going to continue to be so fluid offensively he is a must. Has to start. Zero chance Mourinho plays him against Arsenal though.
