I’d be on the phone to my agent at HT if I were him watching both Winks and Sissoko starting, who both just run a lot and pass two yards. Having one of them do that is necessary but not both.

Really glad we're keeping him on the bench for the defensive stability that Winks & Sissoko provide

How can you possibly be in no doubt that the above would work out? You couldn't know that. I'm more inclined to trust that the manager is picking those that deserve to be picked.
Winks and Sissoko are only deserving of being put on the transfer list.

I don't rate his 2nd half performance just now (vs Bournemouth) and I can see why Jose keeps him on the bench.
He doesn't look sharp enough and lacks intensity; to the point where I don't feel he could hold onto the ball for long enough to do something with it. He clearly has the ability to pick a pass, but I think PL as it stands is too fast/much for him.
I'm unsure if he would improve. We've seen gifted players who aren't intense enough for PL before.
You just need to look at Lo Celso to see the difference..it's big, not even close.

He offered infinitely more than either Winks or Sissoko. Shit he even did more than Lo Celso did in the first half.

Understand your criticising a player who has played next to no minutes since the return of football so let’s say 20 minutes of football in 3-4 months on that 45 minutes where he wa a probably the best midfield performance of the lot and a ton better than son or kane

He lost the ball at least 3 times.
His passing is more positive than Winks and Sissoko; he has greater ability to pick players out.
But I dont feel like he showed that part of his game enough because he couldn't deal with Bournemouth's pressure.

Our midfield currently cannot get any worse.

Give him some starts to at least try and settle him in; it's pretty clear he's got more footballing talent in his left testicle than Sissoko ever will (and I like Sissoko).

Honestly I can't agree with this. Our other midfielders are so poor, even if he did lack intensity which I don't believe he did, he was much better than them.
now the narrative is set of him as a laid back player people will watch the game and their confirmation bias will tell them that.

At least he does it trying to play in our attackers. Winks loses the ball passing to Davis & Aurier.

I thought it was a much better performance from Tanguy and I don't really understand what people are complaining about (in regards to this game).

I hope it's just conditioning. I want him to succeed here. But to me at least, the game was too fast for him.
He has had enough time to adjust.
I'm not saying I want him out. Given his price we can wait longer. But the signs aren't positive enough for me.
Everyone played mediocre today so comparisons to Son or Kane doesn't mean much.
Also bear in mind that his legs should be fitter because he played less mins. For example Aurier, despite the poor quality of his final ball, looks shaper and this is a guy who played constantly since the re-start.
